Sometimes. Depends on how humid it actually is. But humidity just makes things more uncomfortable rather than hotter.

I was watching a youtube video some while ago about all the different ways you can cut an onion, an apparently if you don't cut the root, the onion is less tear-jerky.

...That said, I rarely cry from onions to begin with, anyways.
