Wanted to do something simple after all that prose stuff. So, want some stuff to get you thinking on ways you can name stuff? Here you go!

The choices for this week are...

1) Character analysis (which is useful for writing characters like whoever)
2) Fight Scene Tips
3) Genre Gems series I have in mind
4) How to Write Parody/Satire
5) My Shadow Work Theory That Can Make Your Work More Interesting

When it comes to to chapters I go for literary quotes that hint at future elements or pop culture references that accurately describe the events of said chapters. My hope is the reader will pick up on the hints and begin to understand the story better.

I clicked on the video for no reason, but it captivated me. The flow was good, the information was helpful, and your narration was great.
I'm glad to hear it! :biggrin_s: And thanks for saying as much, especially since I've been trying to improve with every video!

I like this thinking! It sounds like a good example of borrowing and stealing interest. Can you share a few examples? I'm curious to see what the end result looks like!

So for chapter 1 of my fan fiction it's Dumb ways to die, because he died mid stroke. For my oc novel chapter names are as follows, though not in order:

Wedding Crashers
Strange Bedfellows
Wake up to reality
Nothing new under the son Horatio
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.
What's done can't be undone
I am become death

Much to my surprise, I had a chapter called "Nymph" and it had around 33% more views than the one before it.
Also, boogiepop phantom is really good. I'd highly recommend it.

Fun fact, when they made boogiepop and others, the same studio that animated one punch man jumped to get the project.

my first novel, i really loved the titles i chose. They were unique and fun enough to where i could remember the content of the chapter very easily, im pretty proud of them. But thinking of titles is IRRITATING. I mean, most of the time i had an easy time with it but making them so unique got harder as it went on and things started to get tamer. Like when there is a lull in the ocean, nothing exciting happening....its harder to come up with a suitable, fun title.

So i stopped using them in later stories. It makes it a lot harder to track down a specific chapter but i can live with that

Absolutely wonderful video! Maybe I should implement these!
I often create my titles with my themes and the personality of the character in mind. Specifically, the trait of unnatural positivity for extreme situations and the theme of dishonesty. My titles (I hope) intrigue others, but they also have darker meanings than you may expect.
I also just enjoy stealing interest with quotes of songs or references to popular books (cool having a name for “stealing interest”).
Sometimes I’ll mix it up and put references to astronomy because the MC is a cultist of the Stars.
For the main title of my story, I did it to target the LitRPG community. There are litrpg elements. They are quite important. But it is kind of deceptive because the readers keep expecting a classic fantasy litrpg. So far though, they have been very pleasantly surprised! Charisma also is one word that is incredibly important to the MC’s abilities, world view, looks, etc. It is crucial to the plot.

mfw I came up with my story title in the heat of the moment and now it haunts me every time I think about it.
Huh, why does it haunt you?

Looking at your titles, I can say I really like them since there's a colorfulness to them. I feel they are fitting for a story called "Charisma."

Thank you for your video. I think I've gotten a better grasp on how to name the title for chapters in the future.
Your video felt well-made and straight to the point, and was easy to understand with the examples shown.
