If you had to pick one character within your story to write about as the protagonist, aside from the original, who’d you pick? How different would their story be compared to your original protagonist?

...The second lead. Un. Yeah. It would be the same story, but told from a different perspective.

On a more serious note, I would probably pick a character that's close to the main character, but doesn't interact much with them, so I could show everything from the perspective of an observer. Hard to say who it would be exactly cause I have a lot of characters I like that would fit those criteria.

Hmmm. Depends. If the OG protag doesn't exist or something happens to them. Then I would probably pick one of the friends from the start, or one of the mc's family. Either way, it would be a very different story from the ground up. The first arc plot point would likely be the same if I chose someone from the family, just the ending would be vastly different. If I chose one of the friends, then yeah, it would just be a different story all together.

I honestly don't know as aside from the FL, Sybil is alone or with people for a short time. So there wouldn't be a way to get anywhere near what my original story, and that's not even counting the river chucking or cubes

I've a few stories but for the main stuff...

CB would be no one as I have side stories for the other characters. A more reliable narrator might reveal just how screwed up Ava is at the beginning though.

PatGD is dual PoV already but outside those two, I could see myself writing it from the Roam Crown Prince's PoV because I haven't written anything from a villain's PoV in a while. Of course, his shock over some his eventual loss would also be fun to write out.

Black Veil would be Elias as he's a secondary main (but not quite a deuteragonist as it's all from Rachel's PoV). Of course, that version would be a lot more bloody and violent as he is an ancient being. Sex scenes would also be from a male PoV so there's that kind of difference, I suppose.

SfAL is multi-PoV and DGSD had the ML's PoV in side stories so no opinions on the difference there.

Well...
Between Worlds has an ensemble cast and a few of them take turns at being the MC. Would just be following different characters at different times.

If I get that far, Jack Diamond (Diamond in the Rough, Blood Diamond) will be absent for most of fourth book in his series (first book is an origin story, second book introduces vampires, third book brings him to Boston, fourth book has him poisoned and near death until the end), so will be exploring that through the eyes of two different characters if I get that far.

Strange Awakening is Kelly's story and would not work from another character's POV. Only other character who could "tell" it would be the main villain of the first arc.

Going over to the story I have on Royal Road, True Blue, I would probably have to follow either Dina (which would be ... basically Jack Diamond without the magic items and on estrogen) or Tara (which would be a very different story and might be fun - would probably look a lot like the old Marvels miniseries from, well, Marvel Comics in the 90s).

The story on HoneyFeed would be very different as well - if I ever continue into the second book, it will build to an ensemble series, but it is Nick's story with occasional digressions to see his father's POV now, and I'm not sure it would work if I handled it differently (unless I just wrote it from his System's POV, which could be amusing but would be a lot shorter).
