So I was writing a chapter to my novel and when Im already finished I mistakenly tapped preview chapter so I hurriedly tap the back button and then my chapter reverted back to start

I recommend using Google Docs. It'll autosave everything as you work.

Ahhh. I've experienced this on every writing site imaginable but I still prefer writing on the sites as opposed to Docs or Word so I got into the habit of copying everything I write before pressing any button. When disaster happens, I just paste back and keep moving forward.

The writing platform in Inkitt could also autosave your work...though you can't do much formatting and the images are out.

I use that site to quickly format my chapters (since I type my story by volume, not chapters), then transfer to SH's writing platform for minimal formats.

That's why you should use either Google Docs or MS Word when you're writing.

I recommend writing in a separate program. Then, copy and paste when you are ready to submit.
