The future of our stories regarding anime/film 'adaptation'

As some of you might have noticed, AI has been getting more and more advanced these days. With incredible speed, no less.

With this significant step taken by OpenAI, we now know that turning our works into actual moving films or animations—coherent and actually watchable ones, with little to no funds—will be possible very soon.

I'd reckon it will take at most two more years, and we'll get there.

What is your opinion on this?

I'm a little surprised I didn't realize this was a possibility.

When a solo 'director' can make an entire movie on their own... Hey, maybe there'll finally be something to watch. :blob_teehee:

It will hit youtube like the third impact. All of those AI generated cute animal vids will hit the servers like the meteorite that caused the jurrasic extinction.

Indeed it may be a matter of utmost concern to those holding on to commercial jobs.

But I believe that it will be having minimal impact, if not a positive one in the long run as AI becomes just another tool in the inventory of creators to help them ease their workload, if not in the creative sector than in the tedious labour stuff.

Imagine years down the line we might be able to create anime of our own at our house like now we are writing, something unimaginable to say a peasant in the 17th century.

But the role of the human, by and because of humans, is, was, and will be irreplaceable in the field of entertainment.

I'm against AI in artistic sence since in itself is going to make it harder to find good stories to read that are not written by ai. Looking at it morally as well this is going to be a catastrophe for so many women across the globe.

I might be unrealistic optimistic here, but I mean...
- Flash didn't ruin 2D animation
- Motion cap didn't ruin 3D animation
- Photoshop didn't ruin photography
- VFX didn't ruin cinema (debatable for the picky nerds)

and anyone with a little bit of time and experience could already make Taylor Swift naked before AI using Photoshop

I think it's a fad now and it will be a tool later, or at least I hope.

This stuff in incredible:

We're likely going to see huge content creation farms for cute animals and other related things. People already use ChatGPT for mass replying for engagement farming.

As authors these are great tools for us. We already use image generation for novel covers and characters, but being able to generate a short clip of your character dressed up in some badass armor? A clip of blossoms falling around your female protagonists face for your romance scene? A distant drone flyover of your fantasy capital city?

Huge amount of potential to create that extra immersion for those kinds of readers who love looking at illustrations!

Gona cost a leg and an arm plus they will definitely make it so that use meta data so that people know it was so generated. Honestly I don't see an real application for a decade or few. The future you envision is very far from now . Maybe 2044 or 2038..
It's definitely a tool that could evolve into something interesting. Though the effect for Novel writing is negligible.. it will drastically change the media industry.. that's a fact

You mean all of these poorly writing, bad grammar infested stories are about to have an easy-access platform which will give those writers the chance to flood my YouTube with equally terrible film renditions of their work?

Someone put me out of my misery! Please! I beg of you!
