Walking Up against the stream
Makes me Want to sometimes scream
Water Rushing, so it seems
Gently Drowning in my dreams

Fire burning high and low
Fire burning with it's glow
Fire burning down my foe
Fire burning far too slow

Slowly bleeding through my chest
Slowly bleeding like the rest
Slowly eaten by the pest
Slowly taken by the best

Dripping down without sound
Slowly eaten by a hound
Trapped so deeply underground
Trapped and never to be found

Pain and suffering
Suffering in agony
Agony inside
Inside my mind

I was just writing poetry because I was bored.

Should I write a few poems before posting instead?

MMUJIN ROSE

In these notes
For Mmujin Rose
Cealed
In ancient chest
Now in its long rest,
Peeled
Is the lid on box
Covered in chalk,
Dusting.

One could suppose in that old box,
Are old children's toys for a lovely girl.
Yet instead are different toys for someone not her gender.
It was for someone meant to be a boy.
A plight for many a trans girl, not a boy.
And not for the girl with roses in her hair.
She desires amulents of a different flavor everywhere,
In the house of a solitary moonlight.
In the house of solitary moonlight, where the cat always crawls on the wooden fance,
It costs only a tupence, for some feed.
If only could simply be born a normal girl,
And not live to bleed.

In these notes
For Mmujin Rose
Cealed
In ancient chest
Now in its long rest,
Peeled
Is the lid on box
Covered in chalk,
Dusting.

She wilts for her own sake,
And for many others of her kin,
While drinking sake.

Under the moonlight gaze,
She sleeps.

Hope that's not to long. A lot of mine are very long these days.

set a fire - little swan
true heart's desire hides the dawn
and timbre sounds in black and grey
speak nothing of the present day

where arc and fire and steely clash
remind us of a poet's ash
and miser's hair and fingertips
leave nothing but a father's lips

to kiss the little swan goodnight
tuck her away and hold her tight
while mother screams and carries on
an ugly duckling - not a swan

Constructed language poetry. Going to expand on Hafestra soon. In an earlier version of the conlang, it was more like Portuguese than French. But I figured out, from a good suggestion, not to combine words.

I will miss thee
As I leave for the front
To defend our pride
With all my and my brothers might
Even in the dead of night,
For Thee,
Darling.

How do I feel?
What is there to feel?
We lions,
Fighting for freedom
One day
Under the scorching Sun
Another
In the middle of the monsoon.
But I would fight anywhere,
Even at the top of Pahila
For thee,
Darling.

Remember when we met?
Of course I do.
Children we were,
Amidst the smearing of colours,
Basking in the warmth
Of Spring
And later
Amidst the light
At the dead of night
Of Fall
And when I gave thee a blanket,
In the middle of Winter
And when I gave thee water,
In the heat of Summer.
My love for thee goes beyond the stars
Even if the heat melts it whole,
Or the frost bites the soul,
I will always think of thee,
Darling.

Won't you come back?
Of course,
But honor bounds me to this land
Until the day I die.
And if I die,
I'll have my brothers wrap my carcass in cloth,
And deliver it to thee,
In the village of our dreams.
To burn,
The smoke
Rising,
Yourself joining,
Under the beautiful sky,
In the sunny daylight,
For us,
Darling.

This was one of the first poems I wrote for my story. It's a bit lacking, but it conveys some of the things I wanted anyone reading it to know about the society in my story. A few of the things in the poem aren't obvious until reading the story; however, but that'll take a century since I'm basically procrastinating on a daily basis at the moment.

Eating, biting, Chewing
Something Slowly brewing
Churning, Learning, turning
Unaware of what I'm Doing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lovely Flame
Hateful Air
Water Never flowing
Lovely Hair
Hateful Stare
Eyes somehow all-Knowing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darkness Overtaking light
Darkness giving Up the fight
Darkness Take away my sight
Darkness take away your Might
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eight eyes sense calamity
Four eyes know insanity
Two eyes waver madly
No eyes smiling happily
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lying Right into their face
Lying down Inside a case
Running like They're in a race
Running away for they cannot Face
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Left alone they slowly Suffer
Left Alone unable to mutter
All alone no One by their side
Surrounded they Cannot hide
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wide Grin
Hollow Eye
Large Hands
filled with Flies

Life given Form
One Gotesque and grey
Yet thousands of Eons
There it shall Stay
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sharp and Steely
Who are You really
Are you the One in the mirror
Or are you what you Fear
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tipping their Toes
They Go to grab a sip
I chase after Them
And gladly they Trip
~~~~~~~~~~
Deep in the Woods
Deep in the Goods
Even if Daybreak come
They will Never be done
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Twisted souls Screaming and whaling
Painful Shrieks from those were sailing
Happily chuckling at those who are Failing
A place you'll see if you take a Step from the railing
~~~~~~
Red Fire falling
Blue Flames burning
White light Consuming
Black light Deceiving
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Epitome of the abyss
The highest point of Nothing
Only one stands Above all
Unable to protect themselves as they Fall
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taking from The rich
Stealing From the poor
Unfeeling of All
Greeding caused the Fall
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Repetition and Repeating
Daybreak and Moonlight
New Me to a new height
Yet why all the Same fight

Jingle Bells,
Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way,
Oh how fun,
To see it hung,
On your mother's boyfriend's balls,

OH,

Jingle Belts,
Jingle Belts,
Flog your kids to hell,
Oh what fun,
It is to hear,
Your children scream for help
