The Revamped Book Cover

I have been on hiatus since last September and barely progress toward my work in writing my story and drawing my art.
But during that hiatus too, I found motivation and began to lift up my pen and draw on the tablet, which concludes from my previous Book Cover;

INTO THIS;

Does it look better? Look more appropriate like a fantasy story cover?

I already abandoned this cover and changed it to the second, but thanks for the thought

Personally dislike anime covers but i think i am a minority.

The colors in the second one do not fit with each other. The background and the drawing don't align in style either.

Overall it does give off an unbalanced cover.

you could watch some videos with tips for magazine cover design

It's been a month,

But u have strong urge to tell that your cover images somehow have a strong "kill la kill" vibes when I look long enough from the expression and hair styles.
