No. Ai-chan thinks the only way the mc can be a weapon is if he clones himself and uses his living clones as a bludgeoning weapon like a mace. But using people as a bludgeoning weapon is quite commonly used in anime by now.

Rather than magic, why not call it Esper / Psychic power since the story will be set in Sci-Fi setting with space explorations?

I think we all should re-define what is considered conventional mainstream weapons that are prohibited in a Sci-Fi space world.
As far as I know are recognized as mainstream or standby weaponry elements:

Axe
Sword
Bow
Gun
Fist
Spear
Others: ?

Are we talking about how a weapon resemble and function like one, or just happen to fall in the category?
Is it Pre-modern, martial art, or medieval categories of weapons? Please re-clarify.

I am getting a little confused because the restrictions are........ somewhat fuzzy in a way?

Considering I've already given answers on the question before and now it's too late to clarify in case people has already written stories based on my answers previously.

To simplify things, the list of blacklisted weapons are: swords, bows, guns, fists (gauntlets), spears, axes.

Anything that is outside of the above list will be considered as accepted for the given theme.

For bonus brownie points.

1. Not used in wars (real or fictional) - which means guns and swords are out
2. Not used in duels (real or fictional) - considering that there's a real duelling manual for scythes, that makes it mainstream

You can follow these two points to make the story more interesting.

More specific violations that attempt to undermine the spirit of the competition will be left to my discretion. For example, using a stolen cover for the duration of the contest as clickbait to gain more readers, and then switching to a non-stolen cover on the final day.

But there are already stories listed in the contest that use stolen cover, claiming they will change the cover later, yet it's approved? Granted, Ai-chan only found one and only by accident, but were you aware of this? Or is it because you just don't have time to check yet?

I've already contacted them yesterday, and they've responded today. Some are waiting for the new covers to be approved.

There was one story that was posted on the 9th but the author contacted me before entering and considering the circumstance, I let it slide.

By weapon, does it have to be used internationally to bring harm and damage, or anything just bringing harm and damage fine? Like, a character so beautiful they warp the beauty standards of people just by being there, causing other to unintentionally contact body dismorphia?
On that note, what kind of damage is acceptable for weapons, quality and time-wise? Because, for example, in the given example the weapon (beauty) gives damage of psychological kind (body dismorphia) with only long term consequences.
Does it have to be effective against individual entities only, or can institutions take damage from them too? Like knowledge as a weapon - bringing damage to established social and religious institutions.
Would a mad scientist injecting weird potions into people causing them to contact deadly illnesses be considered them wielding a weapon?
Would a God spawning a species that in long term destroy the planet be considered to be wielding a weapon (the species) against the planet?
Would telling a story that would cause the listeners to go mad be considered a case?
Would a SH user writing weird questions that would annoy the mods to death be a case?

Exploring the world that is space. Doesn't have to be new canonically in the story .
The most basic idea of a weapon in this sense is the method of attacking of someone/something.

Though this ant would still probably pass since most of this ant's viewership is from webnovel and not SH. Yeah, this is probably a no from ant. But just an inquiry.
