To readers who don’t like NTR

I am familiar enough with Japanese tropes that I can't really remember the actual time that I've first heard about it. I don't think it should be unexpected that people hate it, it's essentially a humiliation and cuckolding fetish, and just as anybody in real life would be looked down on for having that fetish, characters in fiction are similarly disdained.

Netori doesn't bother me as much, because while sleeping with someone else's SO is still a scummy move, pimping out your SO to others for a fetish is still worse imo.

I suppose it partially has to do with people being against polyamory or polyandry and NTR is just an extension of it. Polygamy never has the same reaction and I think there is almost an evolutionary basis for why that is, one woman can only rear one child at a time while one man can have many. Women similarly in dating apps also seem to reflect a natural inclination towards a 'pseudo-polygamy' strategy, where they always favor the highest quality men who only represent something like 5% of the actual pool and rate everyone else as mediocre or lower, whereas men basically think 90% of women they see are dateable. If that plays out in a natural environment then it explains a lot about NTR and the gender dynamic on it.

Men (outside of a tiny fraction) have less opportunity to form mating pairs and would be more negatively impacted by open relationships in terms of reproductive strategy, thus they tend to oppose it and are more strongly monogamous.

If others feel me, I think it's something controversial due to the possible pleasure derived, dark ideas and morals, emotion rollercoasters, pain and negativity, and maybe even the insecurities and bad experiences/recalling of bad experiences it induces on the reader.

I have a love-hate relationship with it. Generally I feel pain and lightness in my chest whenever I read a NTR story, with my stomach also feeling light and like it's going up and down, and my whole body having goosebumps and being tense and alert.

Mentally, I dealt with the intense negativity that NTR stories inflicted on me creating a bottom line and preferences, and also researching on the subject of NTR, it's variants, and difference to adultery, cheating, cuckold, swinging etc.

I have nothing against NTR and the people who love this genre. I simply hate and avoid reading those type for one and only reason. I despise those weak-willed characters be it male/female that are shown in these genre.
It's kind of disgusting to see such character's even though I know these are the work of fiction. The male just watches his girl getting cucked/ sometimes doesn't do anything just cries pathetically/ in times gets off from it/ willingly shares- welp I don't know the people who would like to do so,
but this just doesn't go well with my thought process.
And the females in these genres. Very poorly characterized in 99% works. Just give them some big dicks and do them for hours, that's kind of enough. Overflowing Masochistic tendencies, no common sense(yes, yes, i know these are fiction and nothing more, but don't judge me).

Why, for one word, I'll say - Cheating. To be cheated upon because of unfaithfulness is an experience that truly hurts like a bullet. It is to say that even if you haven't experienced it, your heart tells you how wrong it is and must be stopped no matter what. But I am no righteous civilian, I am not a perfect sinless person who can say what's wrong or right.

Maybe they might have cheated on that person because that person was abusing them or for any reason because they don't really love each other. Questioning one's motive leading to such heinous unfaithfulness is necessary to understand if him/her doing the NTR was done for a good deed.

I discovered NTR as I was researching for something to write... well, my reaction? A shallow interest, I'll say. I don't have any problems with NTR and my opinion of it is impartial. I am more interested in what's happening in my life, my complications.

I don't like NTR. Why? Because I don't like cheating and cheaters.
If both partners have such a kink, had discussed it, and decided to add a third party to their relationship, that is ok. However, if it is one-sided, then I don't agree with this. If you have loved your partner before, then they at least deserve to be told face to face that your feelings have changed. Anyway, I wouldn't call it hate. I just won't read stories that have the ntr-tag.

I have never read a book that had NTR in any form in it, that was any good to me. I like storyline and things that grow the story, I feel like it is just used to add tragedy and it just makes the female characters worse to read. I guess I just don't understand it, and I feel like it just wrecks anything resembling a story. I feel like NTR should only be in smut, I don't see it as useful anywhere else unless you want to dumpster a female character.

I always ask myself if the female who was the NTR'd, whatever the female is called, it just doesn't add in a meaningful way except to make the MC weaker in general. The male typically starts off likeable, then just becomes trash wrapped around the females finger, It is boring to read. It just turns into watching the female become more of a whore the longer it goes on. They should write a book that shows the end of those relationships, usually the female ages and gets chucked on her ass with her babies. Most of the males the female are after only care about her looks anyway. I never see any good future for any of the characters involved, or at least makes sense.

It runs opposite to what I myself see as love I guess. I feel like in a relationship you should do everything to not hurt your partner, and this does. As for netorase, I don't like it in general as that is all the book is ever about. I usually just skip over it, just as I do with most sex scenes. The issue with books like that is I find I am left with little to read if I do that. I honestly just feel like it just turns the books into just porn with no relevance.
