There has been a lot of talk about what's popular at the moment, and I was curious what was actually posted on trending, so I took the top 100 and checked their tags. Each tag from every story is listed and counted.
Now, does this mean anything? Is this a measure of popularity? Probably not. No one can tell for sure unless they know how Trending works. So, take this with a grain of salt.

IMPORTANT NOTE: this is data from 1 day only. I was going to wait for at least a week, but I wasn't sure if this was somehow against the forum rules and would ultimately be deleted. So, if it does stay up, I'll update it next week.

Also, no combinations of any different tags are taken into consideration.

I think we should ignore fantasy, action and adventure tags. They can and are slapped on basically any series - they are widespread and dont really amount to much... Perhaps the inverse might be more useful? idk.

Biographies and history novels are most fictional of all; especially if they are autobiographies, as they are never written without a certain goal in mind; remember "Escape from camp 14" which even got a documentary based on it, and then it turned out the author lied about A LOT of things?

With day 2 smut is higher. But I don't think it matters much, Smut and Ecchi are often used together.

This is pretty interesting, though. Smut, GB, GL are not exactly necessary. I'm pretty sure Isekai, Harem, Adult are enough for a story to pop up. Maybe sprinkle a couple more in there.

It'd be interesting to see someone take the top 9 and mash them together, solely for seeing if they'd get an exorbitant amount of view from only using the suggested tags.
