I learned that Annie Lennox was thought to have gotten a sex change because of her videos on MTV in the 80s. Also, because she took a wig off and wore a suit it counted as cross dressing. They pulled eurymthmics video from MTV until she could produce a birth certificate to show that she was in fact female.

Which is ironic because sweet dreams are made of this was her expression of dispair about how the music industry was ruining their lives.
