What is the difference between views and people reading

So i have a new book that I've been working on called its all fake, but i cant change it. But it says i got 16 views but ) reading what does that mean?

Views are people who looked at your page, *will include bots and your own views* maybe read your synopsis, maybe even checked out a chapter. Readers are those who decided to add your writing to their reading list.

Worth to mention the update isn't instantaneous - I gave your story a follow (or rather tagged the reading), but it isn't displayed as yet. Any reviews would also go through the approval process

Wattpad works a little differently.
Their algorithm changed several times during their lifetime and there isn't any good metric other than views.

On the Scribble Hub you have the ...

Followers, or readers, i.e. people with account that decided to follow your story, mark is as reading. They could also follow your profile, which differs from following the story. Those things are usually the metric on how successful the story is, not views.

Then there are ratings, on one to five stars range, and reviews. The page displays the average, usually (though you could click to see the details). Obviously, the higher the rating, the better.

Then you have likes on individual chapters. They do nothing, as far I could tell, and people forget to give them, but are nice to have.

And then you finally have views which is the number of time the page was displayed. This one counts bots.

Trending, which is the top page list, is compromised of stories that experienced the fastest (usually the burst) grow in views.

No one knows how the trending list works. It's a secret to prevent the abuse, but what I figured out your story needs a sudden burst of views (and possibly new follows) to account for trending.
