What You Need to Learn about Plot Structure

This video has created so much additional work, but I'm excited. This whole concept is part of what led to my biggest breakthrough last month. It's what lead me to figure out the path forward, for one of the two things I need to evolve to my next level of being a writer. Anyway, hopefully, this can help people who struggle with plot-related stuff.

Interesting - you list a bunch of stuff that SHOULD BE obvious but is not, and actually explain why it should be but isn't...
I would say the problem is more that those who teach theory (of anything, IME), prefer to use specialized jargon than plain terms to make it easier for the student to remember and make the student feel they are part of some kind of elite group for understanding it... but this very mentality can (and usually DOES) serve as a straightjacket...

Hence, I do what I do. It's also why I maintain that understanding is more important than advice in the long term. I wouldn't have made it to where I am without studying what I have, after all.
