I think the problem comes from the arms being too short. If you put your arms on your sides, you will notice that your elbow can touch the bottom of your ribs. Then fold your arm. See how your wrist is a little short of reaching the top of your shoulder ? You can use this as a reference when you draw. You start with the first part of the arm, check if it's long enough to reach the ribs, the do the forearm just a bit shorter than that.

It will immediately make your drawings have a better feel

Very good job on the proportions for this one, there is no problem whatsoever ! Your lineart is a bit shaky, but that comes with experience and confidence.

I just noticed on the first drawing, the hand position that got people confused is because on your rference the man does the pose with his left hand, but you did it with the right hand. So your hand is upside down
