I like the jerk comedy character when it's well-executed. It's definitely one of the harder ones to do, especially if it's the MC.

I noticed that the more they are the protagonist or closer to the role, the more you need those noble traits here and there to balance it out. That and/or suffering. Like, to have them suffer a lot for their rudeness to balance stuff out.
