So, what is your favorite superpower, ability, or magic, guys?

When I was a kid, I liked emitter type power so much, like kamehameha, rasengan, getsuga tenshou, and eye beam! I liked them so much I literally trained myself to emit beam from my palm. Handstand, pushup, slapping the wall with my palms over and over. Short story, the beam didn't come out from my palm and I was sad. Why did I do that? I was just a kid who watched anime on Sunday morning.

Well enough of my embarrassing past. Now, I think power like kamehameha, rasengan, getsuga tenshou, and eye beam are boring. Now, my number one favorite superpower is support type magic. Not healing type support, but something with adding buff to ally and debuff to enemies. I just like adding effects to people, increasing or decreasing their stats.

My second type of favorite power is law manipulating and law distorting abilities. Something like imposing supernatural rule like "flying is prohibited here" or "I am the embodiment of error, I can immediately find loophole in everything" confusing and bizarre, right? Well, that's what I like about law-related ability.

My third favorite superpower is transformation and enhancement. Someting like "Gear 4!" "Chainsaw devil transformation!" "Dragonborn transformation!". Well, I like brawls, so something that empowering the efficiency of melee combat is fascinating to me.

So, tell me what's your favorite superpowers. Ah, and the most boring superpower in your opinion too.

Mine would be Suzumiya Haruhi's ability to create realities. I think that would be awesome. I can create isekais without involving Truck-kun. And well, though it's only wishful thinking, I'd like to erase a lot of existences.

Second is Time-Travel. If I obtained that, the first thing I would do is go back to Ancient Egypt and watch history as it unfolds.

And I think the most boring superpower would be...hmm...I can't think of anything. Each has a charm of its own.

Hmm. I would say a Mage/Elementalist. Especially my favorite element which is Ice. I'm a sucker for mage type mc, and wish I could become such.
Note: My mc is also a Elementalist/Necromancer, with Ice and Darkness spells. And I love writing about him and his spells; have many ideas for it thats in my gloss docx.

One of my favorite rpg's is Final Fantasy Tactics (original not gba) and one of my favorite classes was the Time Mage. So if I could have some kind of super power that's what I would want, the power of a Time Mage.

My favourite superpower is the ability to tell people what I really think of them without being censored by society trying to tell me otherwise, just like the masses that suffer in silence in this contemporary era of adolescent depression.

Sike, it's actually the ability to attract yanderes.

I second the Suzumiya Haruhi one. Never seen the show but I would definitely like to create realities and then live and experience them as I please for as long as I please in whatever way I please. I wouldn't destroy this one. I'd just move on from it into whatever one I created and occasionally check in on this one every 10 years or so to maybe get some inspiration for stupid shit to include in my own.

To be honest, I find creating realities to be the most harmless power ever. Sure, you can create a new existence and potentially do really awful shit...but if we all could do that, we wouldn't have to worry about dealing with each other's negativities. We could literally just vanish into our own world's for a few thousand years and come back fresh of mind. Let the world we created run on auto-pilot for a bit and then when stuff gets hectic in this world again, dip back into our created world for another few thousand years and experience the changes. And be ANY character we can conjure within our minds. Literally. Of course I'm also assuming with the power to create realities, comes the ability to be immortal...as long as we stay in our own created realities.

I honestly don't understand why we as human being aren't allowed this capability. It would solve every issue for every one in the world. I mean it would also separate everyone us from everyone else...but who would care if they had unlimited possibilities and choices instead? And like I said: Immortality.

Gotta love Margaritas. But still. I don't see why this can't be possible and if it is, what's blocking us from the evolution that grants us this capability? It just seems unnecessarily cruel to me.

Damn. I wish I could like my own comment.

Though if I had to choose a second, it would be time-travel where I would be allowed to change the outcome and then live through the outcome on into the modern era, still continuing to influence decisions, battles, agreements, alliances, betrayals etc.

As a child, super strength or immunity to pain, because getting bullied is real.

As an adult, the power of money.

As a sensible adult, the power of healing.

Healing. Writers underestimate how much of an emotional tear-jerker it can be to just heal someone down on their luck and in desperate need.

Apathy and senselessness. The power within to simply not care. It's fucking strong. Like every other story, there is simply no engagement if there's no emotional investment. What's the point of levelling a village if you don't get cries of mercy and sadness out of it? Conversely, an apathetic villain simply committing genocide and murder out of the sheer goal to feel something is shallow, but ultimately dreadful, if written correctly.

Imagine a story about God dropping a meteorite on the current globe, and you read arcs after arcs of human suffering and despair, only to eventually reach God and His respond is simply "Meh, felt like it." It is uneventful, but it does make everything before seem even more dreadful and helpless if done right.

So far, I'm only talking in a meta sense. The superpower of the author to simply make a character "not care" and either derail any meaningful theme or completely recontextualize the story and bring light to the microcosm that is our emotions.

If we're talking superpowers then yeah invisibility. Sometimes I just wanna hide in a corner and have a sandwich, you know?

It's fun for the first seven times but eventually you'd just go back to porn. I'm talking about the real shit. Walking out with bags of cash in the bank; going out naked; hitching a ride on Air Force One to join President Trump to see what kinda amazing shit they talk about in the Pentagon... those kinda stuff.

I like telepathy. Not just sharing thoughts, but also sharing emotions and memories. Even connecting souls on a direct level. This also ties into my fantasies of the afterlife. Who needs a body when you enter a state of blissful connection with everyone you love?
