My character Sol (who, as a warning, uses various pronouns) would ingrain themself into the Leaf Village, disguising herself as a young genin with no parents and forging the necessary papers for it. She would very quickly learn how genjutsu works (she would struggle with the rest, but she is an absolute genius at genjutsu), and apply it in combination with her remarkable capabilities in affecting the mind, and slowly but surely implanting mind commands into the people he meets. Eventually, he would have overtaken the majority of Konoha. Naruto would have absolutely zero idea what's happening and would think that they are a well-loved fixture of Konoha after a decade of them working hard and saving their "fellow" ninjas' lives.
Meanwhile, she would similarly take over the criminal underworld, though make it obvious to Naruto and Sasuke because he knows that the two ninjas' counterintelligence and sensory capabilities would likely be able to find out, so she puts it in a positive light and manages it so they don't have to.
Eventually, over two decades, they supplant Naruto as Hokage with the entire village under their mind control, who are willing to kill themselves for Sol as she commands. Her talent with genjutsu far exceeds that of Itachi and Sasuke (there is genjutsu within his world, so I know that for a fact). If Naruto tries to attack her, one of his friends will die. And one might argue his superior taijutsu might enable him to succeed, but to touch Sol is to die as your soul is mummified and drained of all ectoplasm, which will be kept secret.

But more in general, Naruto is the typical shounen protagonist. Much brawn, no brain. No finesse, or technique. The moment he meets a half way competent opponent he cannot overpower, he will struggle.

I don't see him defeating anyone with a decent power level and a modicum of intelligence. Naruto is really not the smartest guy.

Lol, in universe. Cuz he faced some opponents without the slightest backbone and resolution that could be turned by elementary grade psychology and philosophy so that he doesn't need to kill them. Naruto arguably rarely faced a serious enemy, one who deserves the name.

Uzumaki Klara, the Knight of Madness, the number one genius of the Uzumaki Clan. Like Naruto, her determination to destroy the world is only matched by her strength, rivalling even Hashirama in his prime. Her every waking moment is fueled by the night Uzushiogakure was destroyed.

She merged herself with the Zero Tails, the amalgamation of hundreds of thousands of resenting spirits, and became it's Jinchuriki. Then she merged with her sword which can cut through dimension (like Vergil). And obtained an axe that can blast devastating Chakra energy blasts. Using Adamantine Chains to form indestructable armor (it's low quality). Also, she's a Leech Sage

Sage Chakra coming into contact with Dark Chakra of the Zero Tails, creating Corrupted Chakra, unstable and maddening. She became a Sage of Corruption.

Would Naruto be able to take her down alone? Fuck no, she is literally the Antithesis of the ninja world. With friends? Klara has, like, more than 250k cursed spirits that aren't afriad of dying (they returned to her once destroyed).

Six Path Naruto on the other hand, would give her a close fight and maybe even beat her. But here's a thing about the Zero Tails, it generate unlimited Chakra.

Klara was created during the time of Naruto's 20th years anniversary. So to show my love and appreciation for the show, I created a character that is the errors and biases of the world cramped into one person.
