Anyone read any good Virtual Reality that turns into real Reality or possibly a good I got stuck in VR type story?

If one of them has an opportunity to advance their career significantly but they have to move half way across the globe for a long term stay, the other person might not be able to cope.

I'm just saying some things trip me up. It could be an omition of some kind or a phrase of dialogue or a piece of tech that is ooc for the world settings. I understand if an author doesn't want to go into disgusting details, and I don't want them to. But they can be addressed and then glossed...

And I totally agree with that. Most of time I have no problem with skipping the unimportant things. The whole point of fiction is to suspend your disbelief and immerse yourself in someone else's world. But if you're gonna be super detailed about a particular scene toss in a couple of sentences...

I wasn't exactly trying to be super picky but it just sorta bugs me when (an admittedly fictional) story is extremely into the details and then skips something. Like the restaurant scenario. Super detailed about the food, the service, the decor, and then they just leave without mentioning...

Do you have Future knowledge that they A) complete suck as a couple, B) their children are worse than the spawn of Satan, or C) for some reason having that particular couple get together tips the world into a downward spiral and/or Apocalypse?

How long have they been dating? Are they just casual or are they serious? Are they religious? Do they have the same religion? What kind of parents do they have? What kind of relationship do they have with their parents? Would they listen to or believe them if their parents said something bad...
