Then, I started getting second thoughts. The trail was in the middle of the woods. It was 6 PM already. Friend told me we should keep going. We did. After another 20 minutes, we got to a point where we could see through the thicket of woods.

"It was at that moment that he knew he f***ed up."

The park we were originally at was at the fricking other side of the place we were at. Specifically, east. And far. Like, we could run towards it for a full hour and still not get there. Not that we could, since there was a baseball field in our way.

I looked at friend. Then at the trail that kept going west. We both realized that the trail could only lead us farther away from the park.

I needed to get to my car, which we took to get to the park.

We spent the next 2 hours re-tracing our steps.
