which is apparently actualy way better than what i was doing because i didn't even have to think about avoiding attacks and could just trade damage with the boss and still win

i favor just making myself as tanky as fuck. when combined with over-leveling, it's just so fun and easy to yeet through enemies with fuck all damage.
