I haven't tried it. I did hear it was a really hardass game that punishes you all the way to the beginning if you fail.
They did tell me it was pretty good, but I just haven't had the time to get my hands on it and try.
That aside, I'm not exactly rich to go around throwing money at games like that, so I wouldn't even consider it unless I find in poor man's sale or something.
You know about "season" in ARPG/hack and slash right ?
I am someone that hate(d) this.
And roguelike is fundamentaly same thing "its reset after XXX happen"
= i hate(d) this too
HADES
is so high quality
THAT IT CHANGED MY MENTALITY about it
= proof how good it is
A high quality product's proof of being high quality
is changing opinion of someone biased against it (or type)
Its like a vegetable making a vegetable-hater kid like it
Or a game making a archaic old grandpa find it interesting
For me, hades totally reversed my dislike for "roguelike" and its logic of "YOU DIE = RESET TO 0"
= was Previously a fervent hardcore fan of "grow strong until opness"
@Rhaps Did you try the mods for HADES? Not true fan if not.
Especially the biggest one, where it add a new god? (with medium quality dub)
PS : i think studio even commented/praised it. In fact HADES2 got the god in question in trailer (if my memory isnt wrong)
PS PS : they sure got us good by lying they werent gonna work on HADES 2, and a long silence radio
The grumpy, stoic, workaholic, (divorced?), uncaring but caring secretly (tsundere), strong that can do lot of stuff, harsh past, low EQ, never admit mistakes, liar to protect, do bad decisions, restrictive dad
like most dad in the world
And
the positive man, MC
that try to go to his mom, he never saw.
AND try to reconciliate both. Fight his dad, but know his dad isnt totally wrong but also not totally right.
They did tell me it was pretty good, but I just haven't had the time to get my hands on it and try.
