Indians and Pakistanis have hated each other for quite a while, so that's not really a shock. In 2017, Islamic terrorists took a city and forced the hand of the Philippines army, resulting in a siege that ended up displacing over one million people, and killing a couple thousand. The Indians and SE Asians have reasons to dislike the Muslims, so this likely isn't entirely western fault
