I've taught undergrad-level classes as a TA. Some students never or very rarely showed. And nearly always, their grades reflected as such.

I never understood why people would pay and then not show up. Our course is expensive (for here) but still, it's money that could be put elsewhere but nope, gonna throw it at the college and just not be there.
