I’d take the smut out of my story, rework the romance subplot, and plan better.

I’m convinced it’s luck, or rather there are too many factors to reasonably control since you can’t really account for what other stories get updates at the same time, and how popular those stories are when compared to yours.

I have a huge spike on mine from tending a few days ago. Unfortunately it makes reading data from any other day nearly impossible :( So yeah, I’m going to pile on with the others saying “trending”

Lot's of great replies to my questions, and I'm sorry if this is a derailment, I didn't think my post would garner the replies it did. I guess in the case where I said it's a minor part of the story, what I mean is that the character is trans, but the conflict is not. Gender in general is not...

What if you have a trans character, that character is an important one, but their trans identity barely factors into the story? Or a character who's trans identity factors into their character background, but it's only ever alluded to once or twice.

So, better off including tags even if those themes are only minorly represented than to not include the tags at all?

This thread is making me wonder if I should have even included the transgender and gender bending tags? If the community feels this way about those tags, then I might be turning people away from the story even though none of the content associated with those tags in this thread is in my story…...

Haven’t read these yet, so I don’t know how similar they are, but I do find it interesting how many people have Shattered Moonstone on their similar series.
