I don't really think my chapters through a lot as long as I enjoy it. I however plan out the topics of my chapters, and that only. But concerning the length of my chapters, I go by pages. I also put my writing in the times I finally get to relax because I pretty much write chapters in my phone...

Tbh it just happened that I have a story that I have written something like two years ago. I have lost count of how many times I have revised, proofread, and even axed a whole chapter. In the end, it is nice to have a structure of chapters that you will be satisfied with before publishing.
