Quest Report ( Not Yet Appraised )

Report - Solet' Luna

A murder case inside the temple? Interesting was my thought, and so I went to investigate the scene.

Naturally, I went to my information hub, the Merchant Guild, to see if they could help me. To my expectation, they never really intended on keeping tab of everything, and this matter was so insignificant to them, that they just never bothered to investigate further.

"Just a simple lunatic case. If I had to guess, Miss Luna, the demon cultists should probably be the culprit. Instead of playing hide and seek with them, why not worrying about the approaching Slime Horde?" That was his words. In truth, I also wished to go check up on the Slime Horde, because Lord Wiscard Bruhn still hadn't returned from his investigation mission... Maybe the horde had something more sinister hidden underneath it.

For the quest at hand, I went to find the witness to ask for additional information. However, to my surprise, it seemed that the witness had already died in their own bedroom, hanging on a noose, with countless notes scribbling down words like 'Not my faults', 'God Forgives me', 'They found me', 'I am tainted'.

Well, sure enough, the demon cultists had struck again. The scene was quite gruesome, but other than the guards' solemn expression and occasionally gasps of disgusted, it was just another murder case. The troublesome thing was that the best lead was gone, and I was left with one choice, examing the scene and the corpse of the Wind Mage. I refused to believe that she really a C-ranked adventurer. I was sure that C-ranked adventurer would not fall that easily.

Sadly, those religious people won't let me see the corpse of the dead, saying that it was too cruel, and against the teaching of their god. They said I was disturbing the dead and would incite the wrath of the Underworld and Death God. I, for one, didn't care about their opinion but didn't really want to create an argument with them. So, the last option, the demonic circle.

It was definitely the demon language. Death, Heart, Blood, Despair— Peace? Holiness? Hm... It was strange. Why would Peace be there? And Holiness? This incident was getting foggier...

In the centre of the circle, there was a crest of blood, designed to look like a pair of feathered wings. Strangely, the blood used to draw was pitch black, but the wings remained uncomfortably pure, and majestic. It wasn't like any other demonic symbols I had seen before, so I could no longer decipher its meaning.

Well, with all lead essentially useless, I could no longer investigate further. However, I managed to confirm one thing, which was that the culprits should be related to demon cultist, but, there as a possibility that it was not the same one that had the dragon stigma. After all, the winged symbol was definitely not a mistake.
Sadly, Miss Luna we will have to fail you. The quest specify that you must apprehend the murderer in order for it to be marked complete. However, the information you have given the guild is still quite useful. So you'll have some compensation for your time.

Quest: Auctioned?!
Evaluation:
  • Sold to a wealthy merchant
**********
Since there were no windows, it was difficult to tell the time of day or how much time had passed since she was kidnapped. But since they gave what seemed to be two meals a day, Ari could vaguely guess that around three days had passed. One presumed morning, the to-be-slaves were jolted awake by the only door to the room being brutally kicked open. Two men stood there calmly as if this whole situation was the most normal thing in the world. Ari shivered slightly at that thought, beginning to understand a bit more about this harsh region known as Pirate Country.

"Is this all the merchandise?" The trim purple-robed elf asked skeptically.

"Yes, sir." The bulky pirate responded uncomfortably, Ari vaguely recognizing his voice from when she was kidnapped.

"Hmm..." The elf stroked his chin, his gaze scrutinizing every last one of the slaves in the room, as if they were all nothing but items to be sold. His eyes glazed over Ari as if she wasn't there, but locked onto Raine briefly who was hiding behind her.

"...Alright, I'll buy. Here's your gold, I'll call my men in." He waved his hand and threw a large sack of gold at the pirate, before leisurely leaving the room.

As the pirate oggled the shiny and authenticate wealth in his hands, a stream of armoured men suddenly marched into the room, quickly heading over to the slaves and shackling them in a long connected chain. Most didn't resist, but the few that did were made a cruel example, often ending up terribly battered beneath their clothes despite still having to march along with the other slaves. It was even worse for the prettier women, who would be roughly groped and beat, tearing parts of their clothes for perverse purposes.

Once all the slaves were chained together, their arms and legs bound by shackles, the group began their march out of their place of captivity, a basic cargo hold beneath a pirate ship. As they were escorted towards the city, with the slower slaves yelping in pain from being whipped, Ari paid careful attention to the ship they had just left, in particular, the flag. Although it was waving in the wind, Ari could briefly make out a clawed skull with crossed swords against a crimson background, which she burned into her mind for later reference before being roughly yanked forward by one of the guards.

---

After travelling through streets and alleyways and being taken down a flight of underground stairs, the slaves were unchained and shoved into numerous dark cells to await their turn in the slave auction already underway. Unfortunately, Ari was separated from Raine at this point, being taken to cells so far apart that they couldn't even hear each other speak.

When it was finally Raine's turn and she passed by Ari in her cell, she flashed her a reassuring smile and mouthed the words 'It was nice talking to you.' before heading up the stairs, causing Ari to feel sympathy for her chatty companion about to be sold off. Perhaps after she stabilizes herself with her new owner, she would check on how Raine's doing sometime.

Sometime later in the damp cells, listening to nothing other than the quiet drip of liquid somewhere in the distance, it was time for Ari to be sold. Since most of the spectacular goods had already been sold off, all that was left were the ordinary peasants, which included Ari in her disguise. Most of the crowd had already left, which Ari noticed silently as she and some other slaves ascended the stage. Since she appeared quite useless and weak, she only sold for 30G, which she found out was ridiculously cheap for a slave in this particular market. Most of the ordinary ones would at the very least be sold for 50G, whereas the more valuable ones could be sold for much higher than 100G.

Quietly keeping note of this information, before she knew it, she was sold off to an indulgent fat merchant alongside a couple of other youths. Ari vaguely recalled that this fellow only bought the cheapest and most useless-looking slaves, either trying to save money or perhaps for some other sacrificial purpose, who knows, but she kept that thought in mind just in case. Whilst being shackled and chained again, she noticed that there was a well-groomed young man stationed by the fat merchant's side, often bowing and serving him, or handing him documents. His demeanour seemed far too smooth for someone who acted like an assistant, making Ari suspicious and quietly wary of his presence.

As they were shoved in a carriage to be transported who knows where, some of the other slaves broke down or cried empty tears at the new hell they were about to be forced into. Since she was one of the older ones in the group, although she might not look like it at the moment, she discreetly tried to comfort some of the younger youths who looked like they were about to fall apart. Quite a few of the youths started relying on her presence to comfort them, in particular, a trio of younger teenagers that were covered in muck started showing light in their eyes as she spoke to them. Since the security was light and she was more than able to escape her current situation, Ari felt somewhat guilty at not rescuing these guys immediately, but she knew that she needed to stay undercover for longer, as she hadn't found out anything significant at all about Spire Reef yet afterall.

With a sigh, she let the children lean on her as they fell into a fatigued nightmare-fueled rest, whilst she carefully thought about her future plans of action.

Okay so I just went hunting a giant rock crab with my companions that I recently have been forced to endure working with there were 3 others with me and the crabs tasted really nice it was itself another test from the gang boss it seems. But I now have time to talk about the initiation. Well there were 3 tests during it and what not one was waiting around for an hour or so in the testing grounds. Another was a fight with some of the other testees and the final was of course not getting swept up in secret information wars and listening to only what your boss says. A drawing of the tattoo is inscribed in the report.
OOC:(Check the notes)
IC: More information when I return to Scribel - AIEO
"Rise and shine you wankers." The local gang boss just came into the dorm room that we were forced into and kicked us all out of bed. He literally kicked us out of the bed an annoyance yes but something I'm sure we'd all grow accustomed to. "Okay now that you lot are all out of bed split into groups of four oh yeah three of you died last night." The boss leaves whilst whistling. Well the three deaths was great now there was exactly 16 members in our little newbie group so 4 groups of 4.

There was a group of 4 friends so they split off together and left the other 12 of us to ourselves I believe that was a dumb move at this point. Anyway as one of the 2 girls in the room and the far prettier one I was clearly the centre of attention but I was also seen as weak for it so the ones who didn't want a girl split off into another group leaving 8 of us behind. "Boys you may as well form 2 groups of 3 us girls will play a game and to choose the team we join it's fairer that way." The boys were being indecisive as they wanted to choose the girl they were with. Luckily for me the other girl spoke up to.
"Yeah that's fine by me since we will never get anywhere if we try and stick together the boss guy will kill us likely for delaying!" The girl actually sounds really worried about that possibility but I doubt we would reach that point. Anyway the boys decide that it's time for them to choose after that reminder and split into 2 groups.
"Okay so what game are we playing? Scissors papers rock?" I ask the girl and she rapidly nods.
"SCISSORS PAPER. ROCK!" She begins yelling out and so I just do my standard scissors even though I'm 80% sure she will do rock herself. I kind of don't give enough of a crap to choose. The girl does rock as is expected of her and seeing as how she has one she turns around and quickly runs off to one of the groups. "Okay lets go you three we have to beat the other groups back!"
"So it us 4 then left time to leave we may as well talk on the way about our plan." I begin heading off towards the door so that we can head down to the large rock pools.
"Miss why exactly did you join the gang I would have thought you were going to lift the gun runners out of the trash because you are the new informant girl in town right?" I stop and turn to look taking the three of them in. One is a short guy wearing heavily dirtied armour but armour none the less. He has blue eyes and blond hair but everything about him looks slightly messy for some reason.
The next guy has blue hair and ears on top of his head much like doctor Stern. Filthy abhuman he is probably a good duellist though.
The final one was the worst of the lot he definitely wasn't human or an abhuman variation he was 100% a daemon the daemon possesing me was reacting to his very prescence and it wanted to fondle him very much. His appearance was a purple skinned human with dead looking eyes.
"Yes I am that girl and I came here to join this gang in the first place that was just a pit stop on my way in after all I didn't think they would have a test like that at all." I shrug and turn back to the exit and leave.

I arrived second at the rock pools the daemon having run up in front which was annoying because the daemon was trying to make sure I was checking him out a nuisance and a pain. I bet the two of them were collaborating in this and I hope he fucking dies today. Anyway the other two flanked behind me to either side it seems I had been made the fake leader of the group being protected by my bodyguards urgh. Sadly the 2 of them can't even cover that they are looking at me with an intent for their own pleasure later than again it's not like I haven't done the same thing.
Assertion: I have never done the same thing.
Conclusion: The daemon said that last line.
Assertion: The guy in front of me noticed something odd
Conclusion: Ignore it and continue wishing he dies.

Having loaded up all my weapons before entering the rock crabs actual holding grounds I began to heavily scan everything. I saw the rock crab from how the ground ahead seemed to have a hill that I don't remember being there last time I was here. So I stop still the daemon guy hasn't noticed it but he will. The daemon begins yelling in my head, "Stop beautiful one please please stop walking their." The rock crab rises up out of the ground as the man turns around to face us again he's likely wondering what the yelling in his head was. The man behind me yells and I bring up my crossbow on my arm and aim it at the creatures maw. Well goodbye daemon scum. The rock crab lunges at him trying to bite his head off. My arrow smashes into the roof of it's mouth. The fucking daemon pulls out his sword and stabs him in the mouth and abandons it there. The crab begins to scream
"Thank you mademoissele though why didn't you say something about it being there if you new it was?" The man runs towards us.
"Because you are the most expendable person here in my eyes and someone had to bait it. Now lead it away so one of these two clods can try and get at it's eyes. One of you two get behind it and onto it's back and then remove it's damned eyes would you?" Whilst I was talking the daemon guy had begun to finally lead the thing away. It seems that the armoured human will be taking on the task of climbing it not the choice I would have made but I'm sure time will reveal why he decided to show off.
"Move it slow pokes." I having reloaded my crossbow and looking for poorly joined rocks in the crabs armour. It after all was a fully grown and massive crab. The thing would be hard to remove back to the town if left in it's original size and state however that was not something that would happen from my information. It appears that the crabs actually were a fair amount smaller they just had fairly large mouth and where quite tall for crabs. Realistically they were the size of a small boulder.

After having spent quite a long period staying in front of the crab and moving in a sort of circular pattern the daemon was finally getting tired. Luckily the man was finally in a position to jump onto the things back. The crab also having slowed down from it's exertion. I saw the man jump and catch on to one of the large protuberances on the creatures back and then rapidly pulled himself up. The crab began collapsing to the floor as soon as the touch hit it's back and began pulling itself into it's shell. Luckily it opened it's mouth before pulling it back so I shot another bolt into it's mouth the arrows both digging into the creatures upper pallette roared in anger.
The man on the back began to right himself properly pulling himself up I'd saved him from being squashed by it's collapsing move. I walked over and began leaning on a small rock with another bolt loaded in the crossbow. "Sometimes you wonder when people will stop giving you tests don't you?" The man on the back cut the creatures eyes and then jumped and used his weight to dig the sword into the creatures brains. I was pointing my crossbow at the evaluator hiding in the background. The abhuman reappearing beside the evaluator it seems he had decided that playing chasey was more important then the fight I guess it was though. This was clearly the real test of this exercise.
"What on Tonia could you mean my dear? I just came to make sure you guys were safe nothing more. He then winked and disarmed the beastmen. I kept the crossbow aimed at him not shooting since it was pointless at this point.

Whilst the little stand off between myself and the evaluator was going on the other two were messing around with the crab still for some reason oh well. "So you going to help us get it back to your base or do we still have to drag it back also why did you confiscate your subordinates weapons like that boss?" I smiled as he nodded at me assuming my proper role.
"Yeah I'll take it back. You kids got your stuff?" They nod and then move out the way the evaluator uses magic inserting the crab into some other space that he seems able to access. "Okay let us head back I'm almost positive you will be the first group back the others will be disappointed though not as much as AIEO is." He smiles and begins running back to base us following him. Oh I was disappointed though not very I knew his death was a long shot at best.
Looking over it Cassel stamped the report and filed it. Dropping the rewards to a nearby messenger.

During the night, he watched as the rat corpses being dragged away. With a variety of creatures popping up from little foxes to opossums coming to the little graveyard. He confirmed what he needed to know. With an old but durable piece of wood the adventurers had put there to be shared and to be used for digging he covered up the holes. While feeding slimes was out of the question, he found an alternative method to solve his problem while digging around the files. With his cackling starting sounding like an evil laugher, he put a stop to it and went back to the dorms to rest for the next day.

Going into the sewers, he started to kill rats with his sword. The same old one, two, three, and twenty. It was a pain to cut the tails every time but he was getting paid for this after all. With his approach changing to throwing the rats into a hole he pre prepared for every three kills. And, with them in he threw dirt over the hole. Honestly the back and forth was more of a pain then the killing.

Everytime he did this he saw the blob stare at him from afar and look down everytime he shook his head. It was a lot happier once he left though he didn’t know the reason why.

Anyways after spending what seemed like half a day dragging back and forth rats he finished the job. With 20 rat tails to his name he turned in his quest.

Summary:
  • Killed rats
  • Dragged their corpses to a hole and buried them
"Working hard I see Cassel! Keep up the good work! Not sure why you're burying the rat corpses, but here are your rewards!"

Quest: Weapon Training
Sponsor:
City Guards
Location: Scribel City Guard Training ground
Required Level: None

Objective:
Train with a skilled guard and learn a way to defend yourself as an adventurer. (Remember you're required to pay a 15 G training fee remember to bring it with you to the training grounds.)

Description:
With adventurers leaving behind children and those who can’t fend for themselves. We the city guard have an offer to make to you. Bring 15 G and we’ll have a guard give you training on a weapon of your choice for a day. Trust me, it's from the kindness of our heart we're giving you this training not because of budget issues.

Reward: Gain a understanding towards a single skill on the list:
  • Scribal guard swordsmanship (Unlike those with lances we can actually move in the city.)
  • Scribal guard lancemanship (What use is a sword when you can take your enemy out before they can even make it to you?)
  • Scribal guard archery (What use is a lance or sword when you’re firing from a distance.)
  • Scribal guard macemanship (Archery has distance, lances has range, swords have speed but they can’t deal with armor that’s when we come in.)
Exp: 25
"TRAINING!", Vysic yelled in excitement.
Vysic happily made his way to the guard's training grounds.

He was stopped at the entrance, but they let him in after he payed the 15G fee.

The guard's training grounds were... okay. It was your typical training grounds. There were two main areas designated for training different weapons.
One large area was shared by swordsman, lancers, and mace users. The other smaller area was used by the archers. Vysic had decided to learn archery. It was a good skill, that would surely prove useful.

Vysic was given a form earlier and was told to go find an elf with green hair if he wanted to learn archery. He found him easily as he was practicing in a nearby tree.

"Hey, Sir. I've got this form!"

"Ah! An adventurer! I see you've got a training form.", he said excitedly. "Be prepared. This trainings going to be tough!"

It was.

The green haired elf had Vysic running around for 2 minutes as the elf fired a flurry of arrows at him. If any hit him, he'd have to start again. It ended up going on for 25 minutes.

'To be an effective archer, one must first know how it feels to be the prey' is what he said.

Vysic was then forced to fire arrows non stop for over 40 minutes.

'An archer must always be prepared for long battles.'

At the end of the day, Vysic was dead tired. He could barely move his hands and felt like he was going to vomit, which he did do. Twice.

"That was a good training session. I'm suprised you lasted through all of it. You might have some talent after all. I'm Diarlo by the way, for surviving one day, you've earned the right to know my name."

"Thha-anks", Vysic panted out.

"Well next session is going to be harder, I'm gonna be teaching you how to traverse the forest. So be prepared", Warned Diarlo, as he grabbed Vysic by his shoulder. "I'm expecting a lot out of you."

"HUUUUH?", Vysic screamed.

Geez, the archers there are more competitive than I thought. Good news for me I'm a swordsman Here's your rewards:

After finally having well rested for one day. It was time fore a subjugation quest. This kind of job has been delayed for long that I thought my body would get soft from the lack of fight. I donned all of my equipment and I immediately felt the weight come down on me. It's been a while since I last wore my gear. Even though I can wear this heavy equipment with ease, it always had that sense of burden that always came with it.

"Owner weird....."

I turn around and saw Iris blankly staring at me. Oh right, this stuff was usually in the corner of the room and I usually never wore it. This might be the first time she saw me like this.

"Ahh that's right, I always wear this before. This must be your first time seeing me like this."

She only nods and we both head to the northern forest. Walking towards there I had doubts of whether I should even consider bringing Iris along. She's just a girl and I'm dragging along to fight monsters. I could decide on what to do and before I knew it, we were already at the edge of the forest.

Even after arriving here I still haven't made up my mind. I looked at Iris and she looked back at me. I suppose we could try and see where this, if worse comes to worse I'm here. Making up my mind, we both enter the forest to look for goblins.

Treading through the forest, we walked leisurely between the trees. Light passes through the leaves that illuminated our way. We were quiet most of time with the occasional divert of attention to a sudden noise. After what seemed to be hours there was suddenly a constant rustling nearby, we readied for battle with Iris behind me.

The sound never disappeared as we were on constant alert, then something came out behind the tree. It was goblins carrying clubs, and there were two of them.

"Iris get ready!"

I didn't know what Iris was doing since I couldn't take my eyes off of the enemy. The two goblins separated ways to both sides, probably trying to pin us. It's tight in the forest for me to use my lance, I unsheathe my spare sword and pointed it to the goblin on my right, whilst the tower shield guarded my left. Two against two isn't a problem, but two against one with a handicap is. Trying to focus on the goblins at both sides, I can feel Iris hiding behind me. Damn.... I can't move freely like this. I'm confident that I can take on two at the same time, three might get me slightly injured. With Iris here, I'm gonna have a hard time defeating even one of them. Idiot! Why did I take her with me?! I should've left her at the tavern. I don't have the time to think about it.

"Iris.... if things go bad, I want you to run back to the city."

"Owner.... Owner stay Iris stay."

"Iris! Don't be stubborn! I can't fight these goblins and protect you at the same time! I want you to run if one them tries to kill you!"

While I was arguing with her, something came out of the bushes and leaped at her back. Shit! There was a third one hiding! I forcefully shoved her out of the way and blocked the surprise attack with the spare sword, this gave way to the goblin on my right and didn't miss the chance. Unable to recover I took the full brunt of the strike to head. My head slightly ringed from the shock of my helm. As a counter, I fully swung my tower shield to the goblin on my right, it received the full force and was sent flying towards a tree. The goblin on my unguarded left took a swing to my body to which I received it. I felt the blunt of it but not enough to stagger me. Ignore such damage, I focused my attention on the surprise goblin which was wielding a crude knife. I quickly stabbed it on the leg with the spare sword.

"Gyobaaa!!"

I ignore such scream and drove my fist to its head. Blood splattered to my gauntlets as my fist dug to its head. Staggered by the sudden death of it's ally, the left goblin ran towards Iris who was laying on the ground from being forcefully pushed. I immediately took notice of it and threw my tower shield with all my might to the goblin.

Like a giant steel door being thrown at it, the goblin was hit by the tower shield and was flattened towards against a tree. Blood splattered everywhere and the tower shield was momentarily glued to the tree, after a brief moment the tower shield fell down and one could see blood and innards smothered across it.

I walked towards Iris with my head filled with worries.

"Are you alright?"

"Owner...."

She only looked down and not even stared at me. Sigh.... great.... now what? Not even waiting for her to finish what she's about to say. I lift her back up and dust of any dirt on her clothes. I grabbed my spare sword and started cutting goblin ears off, fortunately the one splattered had its ears intact.

"Iris let's go back."

She quickly walked next to me and not said a word. I picked up my tower shield and cleared of the blood from it at a river along the way. Needless to say, I was an idiot to bring her along.

I'm gonna need to talk to her about this.

I filed my report and went back to my room in the tavern with Iris. Even though I could here the ruckus downstairs, it was eerily silent.

Greetings to you Guild

The Goblin Subjugation has been completed with no casualties. As proof of such task, I present three pairs of goblin ears. May you find it truthful enough as accomplished.

"Please no, I promise I won't run away just don't bran- GYAAAAAA!"

An ear-piercing scream resounded throughout the underground chamber, as the branding iron was mercilessly pressed onto the struggling youth's back. A harsh sizzling sound rang through the air as the smell of burnt skin wafted throughout the dark room. After a few moments, the iron was pulled away and re-heated on the hot coals, as the guards threw the shackled youth to the side to make room for the next slave.

As the boy whimpered and struggled to get up, Ari gently pulled the poor child into her embrace as she did for the other slaves, quietly soothing him and whispering comforting words. After he fainted like many of the others, she left him to rest on the side as the torment continued. The trio that had been enlightened by her in the carriage ride, who she found out were called Lila, Norril and Leo, quietly watched and helped her on the side, having already re-awoken from their branding session.

Finally, it was Ari's turn. Perhaps since the guards saw the way she helped the other slaves, she was left till last, possibly just trying to use her to keep the mental state of the other slaves healthy so that they wouldn't have to buy more too soon.

Without resistance, she was yanked closer towards the burning coals, as the other slaves looked on worriedly. It was quite heart-warming seeing their anxious eyes, even though she hadn't known them for very long at all. Perhaps to them, she was a thread of hope and comfort, which is why they attached themselves to her so easily.

After pulling up her tunic, not wanting to burn her clothes away and have to buy more, the sizzling branding iron was firmly pushed against her back. Even though it would be relatively easy for her to use her ice magic and nullify the heat, that would prevent her from gaining the brand mark and just make her suspicious, hence she chose to take the branding itself head-on.

The pain was almost too much to bear, as a mixture of cries, screams and whimpers escaped from her. Uncontrollably, she struggled against the chains, shackles and hands that held her down, almost accidentally revealing her true strength. Even though she knew that the branding only took a few seconds, she felt as if the entire world would come down before the pain would end.

After being chucked aside, the mark of a slave still sizzling on her back, all the slaves were heartlessly dragged back to their cells.
Life as a slave was a little different from what Ari expected. Although she worked from dawn till dusk, was barely given anything to eat and was permanently shackled, as she expected, she was beaten/whipped less than she thought she would be. What was most interesting was the fact that she was being partially trained to become a tailor alongside all the other slaves. It seems that this merchant sought to use slaves to make up his workforce, which was cruel, but Ari could see the benefits of doing so.

Speaking of the merchant, he was, in simple words, utterly useless. Despite owning a supposedly well-known and highly regarded garment store, Ari had never seen him do anything apart from lounging around and indulging himself. He often groped and fondled his female slaves, grabbing them randomly and hindering whatever they were doing beforehand. And after Ari's hair started growing out, making her appear more feminine, she became an unfortunate victim to his perverse attacks as well. She really hated how they took away her dagger and emergency ration, even though she knew it would happen eventually when she was enslaved, since her hair grew way too quickly!

Behind the scenes of the indulgent and lazy merchant, all the hard work seemed to come from the trim assistant she had often seen by his side. Whenever she saw him, he was always carrying piles of documents and designs or looking over things in the store, clearly being overworked to the extreme. Ari pitied the man whose hard work and credit were being stolen away and slowly came to the conclusion that he must be a slave raised by the merchant, hence why she hadn't seen any signs of him rebelling.

Perhaps because she had looked at him too much, or he had heard about her strangeness from the guards, he similarly began paying attention to her too. Whenever she noticed him looking at her, he seemed to ponder something briefly before turning away, leaving her more confused than ever. Although she was ill at ease from drawing his attention, she wondered if she could use this to her advantage somehow...

Anyway, Ari's first month and a half as a slave working for the merchant proved relatively peaceful. Alongside her seamstress training, she spent most of her time re-organizing garments in the shop, mending holes and frays, moving boxes and general cleaning/tidying tasks. She grew closer with her fellow slaves as well, often telling them stories of her time in Scribel; whilst bending the truth a little of course.

It was a little strange having such a positive atmosphere amongst slaves, but Ari felt rather proud of it. Afterall, it brought benefits too! Norril, who seemed to be a natural with a sewing needle, excitedly gave her tips on how to sew when he wasn't knocked out from fatigue. Similarly, Lila who seemed to be quite sneaky and easily overlooked, occasionally stole bits of food from the kitchen for them to eat. Unfortunately, Leo seemed to have it the hardest, especially since he was the youngest, often passing out before everyone else after work.

(OOC: I kinda want to write an actual 'report' sometime, maybe I'll do that for my next one xD)

Here, I've finished writing my report on how I've got here, hope everything's fine.
“Huh… so this is the new world I’ve got teleported to…”

I looked around, still lying on the grass in the forest. It was daytime and the mild wind was caressing my body.

“Guess I need to get going… it’s not good to lie around in the unknown forest… so what do I have with me…”

After saying this I looked around and saw that I had only what was on me as well as broken sword and torn remains of the upper part of the bag… everything else disappeared.

“Really? Could there be worse teleportation than this? Those damn elvish mages…”

I grumbled for a bit while getting up from the ground. My legs a bit shaky, but steady enough to walk. After looking around again, this time to decide in which direction to walk I mumbled for myself.

“I guess… I’ll have to climb a tree first. Hope there are no flying monsters nearby, or I’m screwed, my Aether is weak as hell at the moment so basically anything stronger than goblins can wreck me…”

And grumbling like this, I started walking in search of a suitable tree to climb. Some ten minutes later I managed to find a tall enough tree with low enough branches to climb in my current condition. After struggling to climb up the branches, nausea and moderate headache are normal consequences of broken teleportation in a random place, he finally saw… a forest.

“Well, there is something in that direction… some walls… a town? Can’t really see, screw my poor vision…”

After saying that I carefully climbed down and started walking in the direction of a supposed town. It would take a few hours to reach… well, I hoped it will.

Every forest must be trodden carefully, especially an unknown one. Running away from danger isn’t bad because if you live you can always return and slice’n’dice said danger later. At least so I was taught at home. So, my travels were going smoothly… for the most part, there were a couple of dangerous encounters, When I was almost caught by a bear and when a wild boar almost rammed me in the stomach.

At some point, I saw some shadow moving through the forest and I did recognize it as a bear... and quite a massive one, to be honest, I’ve got used to smaller bears back at home. And since it was quite close already, I had to quickly hide. Some foliage, dirt, and bushes helped me in this… it did get quite close though.

As for the boar… well, that is a funny story. I was climbing a tree to get a better look at my destination and confirm that it was a town, I didn’t look down and directly jumped from the lower branches… and accidentally I landed exactly on the head of a boar walking underneath. After landing, stumbling and rolling I looked at the boar, and seeing its glare… I’ve done a quick side-roll to dodge its ram, but struck a tree from which I’ve just climbed down, and flinching from pain… I’ve decided to try affecting the vision of the boar, making him think that I’ve got stunned by the strike against a tree. Throwing all free Aether in my body in the illusion to make it as real as possible for my current capabilities I’ve made another side roll and heard how the boar struck a tree with full force. Seeing it shaking the head from the shock, I decided not to lose this opening and with a quick stab in the eye, I did manage to kill it.

The rest of the journey was pretty uneventful. So I will get straight to the point when I’ve got to the town gate. The guards did flinch a bit at my sight… I can understand that though, considering my appearance.

Guard: “Halt! What business do you have in town?! We don’t accept homeless people!”

I’ve thought for a bit and, thanking the gods that the language was the same, at least the common one, as back at home, I answered.

“I was traveling but got attacked by the bandits… and my sword broke. To be honest I was wondering where I can get some information on where I can get some work for the blade… and a new blade…”

Guard: “So you are good with the blade? Heh”

Guardsman smiled and with a small laugh said.

Guard: “But seeing you get robbed so easily I guess not really. Anyways, if you are looking for mercenary work you can always get some at Adventurer’s Guild, you can easily fond their building in the center. If you are looking for some peaceful work with a blade, then you can go see a local butcher, he is looking for assistants. To find his shop go straight and on the third turn left, third building on the right side of the road, now while I didn’t throw you back in the cesspool you’ve climbed from!”

After I passed the gate, the local guardian turned around and shouted:

Guard: “By the way, write them a report on how you’ve got here, be honest and they will be more accepting of you! They have a lot of… “special” people.”

Since I’m more used to use my blade aggressively I’ve decided to look for an Adventurer’s Guild, and after a couple of additional questions of random townsfolk, I’ve come here.
By the way, where I can get some knowledge of local lands? Do you have a library in the town?

"Huh. Do everyone get greeted by guard-like people when they get into this city or what? However... it seems like you aren't much surprised by this situation, are you?"
Commenting on what he has read from the newcomer's report, Manyvat then thought that would be a nice idea to simply mind his own's business. Only if they got to speak in the tavern, he will then probe into his story.

"In any case, welcome to the Adventurer's Guild! I hope that you will have a nice stay with us, aye! And well, if you need anything, you can ask me, I will try to help!"
While he did not have any products, that should not be hard to establish a plan to get some and help someone at the same time, isn't it?

OOC: And you get 35EXP
And ye, should edit your post and add "Appraised" somewhere noticeable~
Good to see you here as well!

In front of the Scrible church.....

"Uum.... Reciful-chan... You look happy somehow?... D-did something good happen?" ask by the head Nun of the church.

Reciful reply showing her Black writing canvas..( huh?....Coz Reciful caught many naughty children to teach!! )

" I-is...that.. so? I-i see aha ahaha...so the kids behind you is... Those kids...right?" The Nun ask as if to confirm if what in front of her is not illusion.

( Yes!! Its them!) Reciful reply with a blooming cute smile.

Behind Reciful...is 30 street children both boys & girls, all following with hateful gaze directed at the little girl called Reciful.... They all followed her of course, very reluctantly.

After spending sooo much time against Reciful... They couldn't land a single blow at her at all. As she always suddenly vanish as if diving in her own shadow... Only to appear behind them (on their shadow) & When they finally thought of just running away from her after a 2 hour of pointless fist fight. Only to get caught by her hair that became black tendrils locking their hands like a caught criminal...

Then she parades them through the city all dragging them through their arms entwined by her weird hair.. looking like some caught slaves... All of them almost die from the embarrassment. While Reciful casually walks with skipping steps towards the church. while magnificently Ignoring each & every stare from the bystanders. Which annoyed more the street children's to death.

"So um your gonna teach them here? Reciful-chan? " The nice head nun asked.

( Yes! Reciful just want to borrow a empty yard & a blackboard & some chalk pls! ) Reciful write so.

" Oh! is that so? ok.. guiding children is a right thing to do!.. its actually amazing that someone actually accept such quest in the first place" the nun said so.

" After all, unlike fighting monsters, helping other is a much harder task & has much lesser rewards for a Adventurer. yet the effort one must put in, is equal to fighting some monster or even more " the nun adds.

Then the Nun prepared what Reciful asked & instead of a yard she generously lend a empty room, inside the church. Leading Reciful & well, the street kids inside... all while all still have their hands tied by Reciful hair of tendrils.

" Reciful-chan.... One last thing....um...is those black Tendrils in place of your hair.. are just illusion right? " The Nun finally asked the greatest thing that has been bothering her since earlier!!

In response Reciful just simply smile Innocently at the church nun.

" Aha-ahaha..uuum..I-I-I'll take that as a yes!" the Nun nervously response turning blind eye on something she better not knowing & Walks outside the room.

So how did Reciful teach 30 hard headed kids?

First Reciful spent some time with them, the next day they tried to hide from Reciful. But hiding from Reciful is impossible!! So Reciful drag them again towards the church & repeat the parade!!..

This occur for 2 more days, until they give up hiding from Reciful or running away.They went to the church by themselves in the 3rd day, of course they still try to attack Reciful with wooden bat, knife, rocks & even a Improvise cross bows... sadly Reciful also learns! So Reciful dodged, block, Deflect all their attempts Ahaha ahahaha Reciful enjoy their frustrated looks very much!!

So, just what actually Reciful teach them?... Of course! what else!? its Mathematics!, Engineer!, Biology!, astronomy!, & philosophy!...Reciful drill it into their brain's!

Eh?... You thought Reciful is dumb & stupid?...HOW RUDE!!! Eldritch race is known for their knowledge of truth!!... Its true Reciful is not lying!!

For moral studies, Reciful just explain a bit of karma ideas in them... Since they doubt heaven & hells existence.. Reciful use [Telepathy] & [chaos Whisperer] skill combo!! & show to them the image of heaven & hell itself from Reciful past memories... Reciful have seen the real deal you know! Of course its long-long ago!! When Reciful is still at full power!!

After that they stop attacking Reciful. But instead they said they will beat Reciful by proving they can do great things instead... They said, they will invent something that will shock Reciful in the future. some says they will make Reciful recognize them! Some say they will be famous or even leader in the future & show Reciful how amazing they become!....

Ahahaha good luck kids!! beat Reciful if you can!!

Reciful teach street childrens for one whole month.... Then they go their separate ways...leaving Reciful all alone....so sad, they did not even say goodbye but instead words like this...

OOC: I will have to agree with that. xD
But you're forgiven. Your report is fun lol.
And no worries, it wasn't that long.

"..."
Manyvat could not help but wonder what did he read. Honestly, he had trouble understanding it. Needing a few seconds before getting to speak-- he thought of one thing: was the job accomplished?
The reply is yes! Thus--

"You have done a good job, let's see the reward... and yes. You get 5 Gold coins for helping those kids. Kinda low considering how much time you spent on them however I guess the experience was worth it. Hope you had fun as well!"
Handing out the reward to Reciful, Manyvat wondered whether he had done the right thing. Whatever that is! Those kids were beaten up! Isn't that a wonderful thing in itself, worthy of being rewarded? Or so the merchant thought.

OOC: And you get 100EXP!
Be sure to add "Appraised' somewhere in your post!

Walking alone in the forest was a lone robed woman, she carried an iron sword on her back. No one knew where she was headed as she aimlessly walked in the forest. Rustling of branches leaves could be heard nearby but the woman did not take notice of it. In one of those rustles came out a green beast called goblin.

"Goba!"

The goblin showed a toothy smile thinking it found an easy prey, shortly after another goblin appeared and showed the same face as the other did. In a two on one scenario it would seem that the woman was at a disadvantage and others would if seen from an observers point of view. But the woman did not care for she looked at them with no interest and unmoving.

Thinking that she is frozen in fear, the two goblins pounce on their easy prey. Without even noticing it, the temperature around the woman took a deep nose dive and small blue crystals formed around her. Immediately the small crystals jolted towards the goblins and punctured their body. Some got stuck on arms, legs, torso, waist, even in their eyes. They both lay of the bloodied grass screaming in pain. Blood kept pouring out of their multiple wounds, slowly fatiguing themselves from panicked exasperation.

As the woman drew closer, the grass she walked turned icy white along with her surroundings. When she was finally near the goblins, their grew pale and air could be seen flowing out of their mouths with every pant. The woman looked down on them, like an insect annoying her. With a sway of her fingers, the bodies of the goblin slowly started freezing solid.

"Gobyaa.... Gob..aaaa..."

Their voices grew weaker and weaker as the ice slowly consumed them until finally stop at their necks. Clearly already dead even before the ice consumed them, the woman grabbed the sword her back and sliced down on the neck of a goblin. Blood did not flow at it was already frozen even on the inside, however it was not a clean hit. She repeatedly swung down and could hear the shattering of the body and neck bone breaking. With the head finally chopped off albeit sloppily, she did the same with the other.

About to finish with the second head, a loud sound was heard nearby to which got her attention. Two more goblins appeared from behind the trees, one could guess that the other pair heard the screams of their fellow race and went to the source.

"Goba! Gobaa!"

From that sound one goblin charged towards her. Still having no interest, the woman's eyes suddenly shone brightly to which a large clear crystal erupted from the ground and impaled the charging goblin to the chest. Needless to say it was an immediate death.

Seeing the shocking spectacle infront it, the other goblin turn tailed and ran. The woman only tilted her head in response.

As the goblin was quickly running, it suddenly slammed onto something head first and staggered on its back. Infront of it was a large transparent crystal, but the goblin know that since it was high and wide enough too fool it. Behind the goblin was a woman slowly walking towards it. The goblin grew fear towards the woman as its back was against the transparent wall. The woman stopped a few meters infront of it and pointed at it. Small blue crystal shards formed around her and zoomed towards the goblin, puncturing almost every body whilst staining the transparent crystal behind it with blood. With the goblin minced from the barrage of attacks, only the head was barely recognizable. The woman left along with the head of the barely recognized head of the goblin. Behind her were floating splats of goblin blood, but that soon sank down as the transparent crystal disappeared from its place.

The woman headed back to the city while carrying two frozen heads slowly thawing, one messily beheaded goblin, and a barely recognizable. When she arrived at the guild, people nearby looked nervously at the bloodied woman carrying three heads of goblin with one other that no one could make out of. She placed the heads onto the desk along with a quest slip she pulled from the quest board, to which the receptionist responded with a scream. No one could blame her as there were head on the desk, but the bloodied woman did not care and only wrote her report.

Iris kill goblins. Iris get four. Iris give guild four goblins.

BigGreen's Quest Report
~~~~Gobo and I have successfully delivered 3 parcels to their respective owners. One was sent to Shiori, a Black Witch that lives in the nearby woods of Scribel. Another one was delivered to Harrison Bridger, one of the captain of the guards. The last one was delivered to Freja Haljissen, an adventurer lv 6 and E rank.
Me and Gobo wake up, too the bright and shiny sun rising. "Gobo lets go have our breakfast" I yawned. Gobo carried me and went down to grab our breakfast for the day. On the way down we can hear the chatter of the adventurer's in the dining hall. It looks like a slime horde was coming to Scibel and people were getting prepared for it.
We say hello to Pierre and take an empty table. While we wait for our food me and Gobo talked about what quest we were going to do today. It seems like outside was gonna be quite active due to the slime horde, so I suggested that we take on something in town. It look like Gobo was fine with idea of mine. Eventually Gobo's food finally came and we started having breakfast. After breakfast we head off towards the Adventurer's Guild.
Arriving at the Guild we notice how more active it was. Looks like the Guild was in full motion for the Slime Horde. Me and Gobo line up and eventually get up to the receptionist counter. We took on the quest Delivering Packsges again. The receptionist went into the back and after a while came back with 3 letters for us. One for Shiori, another for Harrison Bridger, and the last for an adventurer Freja Haljissen.
We looked for the receptionist help with where our recipients were located at and also got advice to be on the lookout for the slime horde. "Also the letter for Freja, if there are any complication, can you tell her to come talk to me about it. Also Tell her that she only needs to write a signature for you and that's it." she explained.
She told me that her name was Hejlikka and a friend of Freja. Also that Freja currently had a "Stalker" and most likely that letter was from him/her.
I told Hejlikka if Freja didn't want to accept the letter, I would just come back with a signature. Hejlikka thanked us and we left on our way to deliver our letters for the day.
Me and Gobo first looked for Harrison around the guard station to see if he had arrived for his shift, but after a talk with one of the guards it looked like Captain Harrison wouldn't be on shift until a couple of hours. So instead we left out the gate, towards the woods where Shiori lived at. The receptionist explicitly told us not to touch anything in Shiori's house or accept any weird request from her.
We arrive at the supposed house and Gobo knocks on the door. The door open's wide and we see a lady. "(Hello, I am BigGreen and this is Gobo we are a part of the Adventurer's Guild, here to send a letter too Shiori, The Black Witch. Would you be her by any chance?)" I write out. Her eye's glaring out me "Yes, yes I am. But more importantly you...what are you?" she asks. I tell her that I'm just regular plant that can write out words and tame monsters. She gives a chuckle "Yes, yes a sentient plant that can tame monsters...interesting. Wouldn't you like to come in for a bit" her eyes shining. We tell her no and that we only needed her signature. She gives us her signature and comments "Well your always welcome to stop by here next time". With her signature ,we quickly scampered away from the house as quickly as we could and headed back towards the guard station to see if Harrison had come in yet.
We asked the the same guard if Harrison had come in yet and luckily he said the captain just came in. The guard led us towards the captain's office door and knocked. A clear ruff voice was heard" Come in". We enter and the first thing I noticed about the captain was his office, It was absolutely spotless. "(Hello, Captain Harrison. I am BigGreen and this is Gobo, we come from the Adventurer's Guild to delivery you a letter)" I write. Gobo hands the captain a letter and Captain Harrison makes an off-comment about us. "You must be the new duo that I heard from the guards and adventurer's yes? I must let you remember that it is still in effect, that if your pet Goblin causes any trouble, you both will be banished too the swampland." he explained sternly. "(Yes I understand this Captain)" I concluded. I asked for his signature and he gave us a stamp on a piece of paper. We exit from the captain office and start walking to the nearby tavern to start our look for Freja.
We enter the tavern and ask the bartender if he has seen Freja, an elf. He tells me Freja just went too her room not to long ago and tell me her room number. We arrive at Freja's room and Gobo knocks on the door. "(Hello, I am BigGreen and this is Gobo. We come from the Adventurer's Guild to deliver a letter to Freja Haljissen." I write. She nods her head and responds "Yes, I am Freja. Can you tell me who sent the letter". I tell her that we don't know and only the messenger. Gobo gives her the letter and from the disdain from her eye's it look like Hejlikka was right about the letter. "Return this, I don't want anymore of these" Freja hands me back the letter. I explain to her I only need her signature and she can do anything with the letter. She eventually agree's and we get her signature. We also spot her opening her window and start's tearing up the letter, finally throwing the bits out the window. "(Your friend Hejlikka told me to tell you that you should go talk to her about your "Stalker" problem)" I explained. She thanks me and tell me she will later. I leave heading towards back to the guild.
We arrived at the guild and line up to see the receptionist. Finally our turn we ask if Hejlikka was still in and that we had something to talk to her about. The receptionist kindly accepted and went into the back to see. Next thing we see is Hejlikka coming out and asking if everything was okay with Freja. We tell her it looks like another letter from the "Stalker" and Freja said she would talk to you. Hejlikka thanks us and we turn in our quest to Hejlikka. We say our goodbye's to Hejlikka and head off towards the Tavern.
We enter the Tavern and greet Pierre, who is chatting with a few adventurers. We sit down a nearby table waiting for dinner to arrive. Dinner finally arrives and Gobo and I have our fill. We tell Pierre to thank the cook for today's dinner and pay him 10g for today's Room and Board. Gobo and I enter the room and Gobo sets me on the window still as usual. Gobo cleans his sword and shield, expectant of tomorrows quest and eventually goes to sleep. "Slime horde, huh" I thought.
