Not surprising, Seinfeld is a satire on life in the 80s-90s, with roots in observational comedy. Unless you still have the same mentality as people back then you are not gonna get a lot of joy out of it. It's almost like having Martians enjoy memes of England.

Suppose that is why US/UK remakes of UK/US Sitcoms often fail with few rare exceptions. Cultural background of the audience plays a part enjoyment of "text".

I find it interesting that audiences often neglect to realize that with translated works. They decry novels, saying WHY? why are KN/CN/JN are the way they are. Forgetting they are reading novels of another country, that even with the global transfer of ideologies, culture is still very different in terms of traditions, political views and gender expectations.
