how can a can opener break that easily? its just bent piece of steel

That's what they're supposed to be. Though I'm positive that it's actually a weaker metal that is mixed with steel. I've given up on the wind-up can openers as they break within a few days. The classic can openers either bend or snap in half when I use them and I've used four of them from different companies. All of them, crap.

@Aoibh Are those spoons also shivs because if not I don't see that as an easy task. Also what kind of spoon would you even use for that?

@owotrucked I just want a can opener that actually works. I don't care if it's outdated or no longer used. I will use it.
