ancient ruined churches, the building itself is mundane yet it has catacombs stretching far into the earth, powerful folk paying for great canals to be dug to bring the people water, adventurers with a cause, such as seeking out potent herbal remedies, moving from village to village and dealing with problems etc.. and i think that gate guards are some of the best folk to ask if you wanna buy some drugs -.-

@Zirrboy the fun fact is that I know it isn't new, but I will get a tiny headache when I myself is writing something similar and feel... disappointed at how predictably petty things are.

Made worse when I see the same scenes in others' works.

@Amok Altruistic folks, they do exist. But they also make the written works more fairytale-like, especially when you listen to the news.
