Don't be, every writer knows culling your chapters feels bad. Even Stephen King said he felt bad about it but its a must.

You should be happy, due to improving the quality of your work and having improved in writing to recognise that your previous work needs some purges.

Although, I do agree that it is a little sad to see something you've written end up getting removed later on...
