What about Chairman Mao?

He doesn't have as much cultural impact as Hitler. Every time you think of "bad person" you just immediately think of Hitler. Mao just doesn't have the same ring as fucken Hitler, you know what I'm saying?

What if someone lied about Hitler once saved the world and ended the war?

Mao and Stalin BOTH EACH had several times the number of bodies as Hitler. The ONLY difference is that they both killed their OWN people whereas Hitler killed others. Oh, and they happened to be on the side of the "good guys" during the war. If they had been on Hitler's side during the war, they would be just as vilified as Hitler if not more so.

It's a simple coincidence that allowed them to escape historical condemnation. Mere luck of the draw. Favorable dice roll. The Russians don't typically make much of a mention of Stalin anymore. They seem to have no opinion one way or the other. But Mao...the Chinese disturb me how they praise him. That guy killed more of his own people than the Japanese ever did. How do you still find him a hero?
