    How old are you all.

Damn. I'm feeling old now. Let's narrow it down to 34+. :ROFLMAO: Brains haven't caught up yet, though.

    Do I count

I would say the phone counts as another view. I do the same thing, to make sure everything is formatting correctly. I have noticed that my views of my chapters has added extra views on the count, (but strangely, not always, I think it might have to do with how long I am viewing the page)...

    Do I count

It takes time. The other day for me it said 0 for ten minutes, then suddenly I had 6. 6 people did not read it in that 20 seconds, that is for certain! Also, hearts do not update in the 'table of contents' view at the same time either. When replying to a comment I noticed the heart count was 3...

    Serious or not serious?

I prefer the first, with deep character development and well fleshed out world building. Humour occasionally, but some... Damn it, I like both. Don't make me choose!!! :blob_dizzy: First one mostly. :blob_hmm:

Covers I made for my book.

Very cool! The second one in particular! :blob_highfive:

How long have y'all been writing? What have you improved on?

I started writing for my own enjoyment in 1996, world building, character creating, short stories/histories and even started writing chapters with intent to be published traditionally (did a few rewrites too). All the same universe/setting. :blob_pat_sad: In the start of 2009, the dark times...

Writing Things that only Tyrants, Evils, and Criminals would say to their Victims before the Crime?

Villain: What is your shoe size? Those are some nice shoes... Victim: But, I am just the messenger... Villain: Dammit, I will just have to find out for myself! You don't need shoes when there is no message to give.

    Any pantsers here?

Being too loose with my plots was a big issue for me when I started writing. I knew the start a couple of mid points and an awesome end. Connecting the dots was an issue. :blob_catflip: It led to discarded chapters and lost worlds. :blob_no: Now, in this more mature iteration of myself; I...

    Why do you write?

I originally started writing because I was frustrated. Firstly let's paint an image: It was before the internet became what it is now. Before the old Microsoft Messenger, or ICQ. Books, all those books. I used to destroy bookshelves, eat my way through libraries and in my bedroom I had...

Where do you guys usually discuss about the novels you read?

I do the same, most comments that I make are public, but if an author's writing really moves me (or if there is a glaring mistake) then I prefer to let them know directly. Who I talk to about novels and things I read? I used to discuss what I read with friends. Now, with some students that I...

Who takes care of the children in your family?

Thanks! :blob_highfive: We have been through the depths of hell and back together the last 14 years. Every time either has stumbled, we have held each other up. I would not have it any other way.

Who takes care of the children in your family?

I can't truly say it is 50-50. It changes by the day. Some days my wife needs her space, others I need mine. Or when we are pursuing our interests, so without even thinking about it we pick up each other's slack. We both work from home, so we are both available for the kids. I am her support...

How do you write smut... or even basic human interaction.

Thanks for catching that! :blob_highfive: I did not mention it (I should have, or made it more clear) but I had already established in the story that there was historical bad blood and conflict between the characters. The aspect that I was trying to explain: was for all appearances the conflict...

    Ducks and other birds talking

Check out the Lyrebird. Also an Australian native. Used to see them all the time of a winter, where I used to live in the mountains. They used to mimic our dog. :blobrofl: And the chainsaw, and the exact whistle we used to do to call our dog (VERY cheeky!!!). One morning I swear, there was a...

How do you write smut... or even basic human interaction.

THIS. I character build, write histories even that involve scenes, events that happened in the past, things that make them tick, and potentially explode. Last year I did 140,000 (supposed to be approx 5000 word) written as a novel that focused purely on the history and interactions of...

    How much have you written?

I feel truly humbled to see that we are speaking in hundreds of thousands and millions here. Some of those counts...:blob_dizzy: WOW! Incredible!!! :blob_highfive: My old writing including actual stories, histories and detailed notes (pre 2008)... I would roughly estimate around 175,000 to...
