I was considering on doing it also but I doubt my char would interest himself in internal politics and would rather stick military.

You don't need to know the politics to do this, though.

Keep in mind Bertram has been a long servant of the family. He's got to be skilled enough to defend them, and high level enough to prevent kidnappings.
