Explorers from the Grand Central Empire have planted a flag and claimed this land for the Immortal Tzar. They hope to establish a new colony thousands of miles away from the capital, spreading human civilization to this monster-infested wilderness. Any adventurer willing to leave their home and settle in the frontier will be paid a sack full of gold to start their life anew. The work is plentiful and the pay is generous. It's time to build another village!
However, this frontier wilderness isn't uninhabited. The local monsters aren't so happy about their new neighbors -- unruly adventurers who chop down trees and murder slimes by the dozen. The villagers are "evil" and the monsters want to see them totally destroyed!
How to Play
This forum game is part of Adventurer's Guild: Frontier Saga but it's adapted from this forum mini-game.
You can either play as the (A) villagers or (B) monsters. Villagers collect resources and build things. Monsters steal resources and break things.
- Copy the post above you and bold your changes.
- Activities cost Action Points (AP):
- 1 AP = 100 words written in the Adventurer's Guild roleplaying game
- You also gain +1 AP every day (for free)
- Do not change the name of structures without the permission of the original builder.
- You don't need to play from your original character (OC)'s perspective. You can imagine yourself as an NPC on either side.
- Please follow the forum rules and be respectful.
Villager Actions
- Collect resource (cost: 1 AP)
- Pick a resource and add +1 to the village stockpile
- You can "make up" any resource to harvest (e.g. copper, clay, uranium), but try to keep it reasonable.
- Recommended starting resources: Stone, Wood, Food
- Craft resource (cost: 1 AP)
- It is possible to convert a number of items in the stockpile to something else (e.g. wood + flint = spear).
- You can make up a recipe, but try to keep it reasonable.
- Building construction (cost: 1 AP)
- If you choose to start building a new building...
- Pick a coordinate (x, y) to place the building. Make sure no other structure is present on the same space.
- Create a name for your building.
- List quantities of what required resources are necessary to build it (e.g. Stone [0/10], Wood [0/20]).
- Add one resource from the stockpile to start the new building.
- If you choose to help construct a building...
- Make sure a needed resource is available in the village stockpile.
- Deduct -1 from the village stockpile and add it to the building.
- If you choose to start building a new building...
- Recruit villager (cost: 1 AP)
- 3 Food => +1 villager population
- If the villager population drops to zero, the villagers "lose" the game.
Monster Actions
- Steal resource (cost: 1 AP)
- Pick a resource and subtract -1 from the village stockpile
- Damage building (cost: 2 AP)
- You can deduct -1 from virtually any building.
- When everything reaches zero, then the object is destroyed.
- Attack villager(cost: 5 AP)
- Flip a coin (!roll 1,2); you can use the dice test thread
- If it's heads, you can deduct -1 from the villager population.
