I have a couple of questions for my fellow Pantsers:
Do you write every day?
Have people ever spoke to you as if writing is this hard thing that only pros are supposed to do? But you find it as easy as breathing?
Do you work out every day?
Do you feel at times as if your characters are speaking to you?
Do you believe in the Muse?
Or is it just me?
Happy writing, everyone!

My co-author does. He usually only plans fighting scenes, lol.

Nah, only half-hour walks around the neighbourhood. Even then, it's usually bi-daily. Sometimes I stay in and play games.

Sometimes, yes.

What's that?

I guess...?

I write whenever I feel the desire to, sometimes everyday but recently once a week since I’ve been swamped at work and have been trying to create better chapters.

Anyone can write the way Ratatouille teaches that anyone can cook. Doesn’t mean I do it super well, but I’m trying. I wouldn’t say it is as easy as breathing, more like as easy as thinking, as easy as posting on this forum.

I work out consistently every day doing Pilates, sometimes dance classes, sometimes riding my bike. I try to do something :) now, occasionally I have to take a week off because of life, illness, etc…

My characters feel like people I watch on my own personal security cameras, except for one, Silnarion. They’re pretty real to me since I can “think” as them vs. manipulating them as a character. I think this is where the core of my issues lie in writing, so I’m trying to flesh out my other characters more in my heart and my head.

The Muse? never met her. Maybe as I write more she shall take notice of this newbie!!

I don't plan on writing since I know I'll failed at even making a single outline just because I forgot. Either I write it in one shot or I basically need to redo everything from the start as my OCD flares up at the fact that it isn't perfect. The more I fix things, the more I want to redo. To a point where I just stop because it got to a point where I don't even know why was I writing the story in the first place.

I miss that moment when I basically don't know english and just wing it because I just want to write a story without knowing grammars. Because of so many grammar mistakes that I slowly develop OCD, I can't even post one chapter without rechecking everything before repeating the same process until my OCD stops yelling at me for the grammar mistakes.

I have my own questions to you

How is it to be a BL writer ?
(pure curiosity without malice)
What are biggest difference compared to yuri writer ?
Are you gay or its the cliche "its not because i write BL/GL that i am gay" situation ?
What kind of age you prefer writing your BL characters ?

I do most of the stuff I don't like so I stuff it in a folder for later use.
I don't really talk to anyone about writing to be honest.
I do
Everything I write is just daydreams I have and those are from the perspective of my MC so I guess yes it's like they are talking to me.
I don't.
It's not just you lots of people believe in a muse.
Happy writing back at you.

I used to be a plotter... Until I realized that I didn't want to use anything that I plotted, before I eventually plotted all of my motivation to write away.
Now I just use a basic outline and write as I go.
(And yes, I do workout, it's kinda like my job )

Do I count as a pantser since I have no written outline, instead just a very rough concept in my head?
Uh ..... yes ?
Emotionally yes
Technically no, same as its illegal to arrest someone that say he wants to do a crime

Why not write in a language you do know in, then?

Yeah, extensive plotting drains my motivation too.

Every day except when I work because I work in 24 hour shifts. So essentially I get forced rest days.
Yes. Their voices are in my head and I can hear them talking shit. It's why I'm so mean to them.
Yes. I play certain music to get into a certain mood for certain scenes.
No. Not just you.
