Review :
You have a good work. I read through and yeah, couple of mistakes and all, nothing unreadable. It does break the flow a bit but overall, I like the premise, I like the characters and the setup.

Although, the backstory is... dragging a bit. Reading all of that at once is not really the best way to start it and it took effort to push through towards the action moment.

All in all, consider it all in stride, this is your first draft, it is okay to do as you do.
Get in more progress and a bigger wordcount, then you will have room to edit and move stuff around to make the starting more snappy and like the latest chapter.

Story first, editing later.
