Getting the Right Solution with the Wrong Method

I'm just curious about the best stories in which the main character end up with terribly good results while their approach was 'horribly wrong'.

It's just like using the wrong formula to get the right answer and they could capitalize on it consistently.

If possible, not a story who abused plot armor too much, kinda like unexpected stupidly clever--couldn't find right words for it lol
