My novel's current cover (visible—probably much too large—in my sig) is AI generated, and I'd like to replace it with human-made artwork in color.

My idea for the new cover is a sort of double character portrait; I have very specific ideas about the characters' appearances (I'd be happy to share my references later in the process), but I'm not really sure about the poses or background. It wouldn't be anything particularly sexual or action-packed.

My ideal style for this project is either retro-pulp à la Hard Case Crime (which fits the tone of the book) or something like socialist realism (which fits the setting), but I'm open to other styles as well.

My budget is flexible; I wouldn't expect to pay less then $100.

How did you put up your cover art on a chapter permanently, everytime I put an image up using it from discord it goes away after a few days? I don't think you can upload an image either.

Don’t use discord. They change the image url every few hours or days to prevent the spread of malware. Use Imgur that is used for image hosting.

After saving your image on Imgur, don't copy the provided link. Instead, right click with your mouse on your image saved on imgur and click "Open image in a new tab". Copy the url link of that tab instead.

Hello there. I recently posted on here looking for work. Though my art style (in regards to how I draw characters) is final, I am willing to take on the challenge of different tones and styles. I googled "pulp art style" like your initial prompt is seeking, and though I cannot reflect that realism in the people's forms, that fashion sense and tone I think I can capture.

Since you're looking for a cover to your story, we'd definitely have to talk about it (if you want to discuss I can send over my commissions email), but what you have described thus far sounds like something I can do for about 225$ and even then I am willing to negotiate prices with you.
