She wept in her study that had become so bloody.
Just earlier, she had been unaware of the terror.
She'd not known of the dangers or the hidden strangers.
Yet they came into her house to feast on her family like beasts.
The family was eaten all through the night by the creatures that bite.
She was the last to live and become undead.
Thoughts of revenge swirled in her head.
She'd kill those bloody vampires for what had transpired.
She left her cozy manor on winter's Eve.
Her obsession had become to see them all leave.
They'd end their life in a snug coffin by the end of her stake.
Those batty creatures would die for the family they did take.
So she sought them out in the streets and where people meet.
She looked for them during the night, knowing they'd end heart's plight.
The woman had tried with all her might, crying out as the day descended.
But her heart would never be mended, dying out as her life was ended.
She died when night turned to day and became so bright.
Through revenge, she became an enemy of sunlight.
