I don't know if this has already been implemented, but I just thought while reading another thread, what if there was a system in place that automatically removed star ratings from inactive accounts?
There's definitely a fear that one-off accounts being used to abuse authors, and while I don't know how real that fear is, knowing that accounts that only got used to put a bad rating on a story get automatically removed if they aren't used on a regular basis would alleviate a lot of that fear. Maybe a timer of two weeks? A month?
Maybe this has already been implemented and I'm just a fool who hasn't checked the change log or help file where it's already been listed, but if it hasn't, then I think it would help? It would certainly cut down time spent moderating abuse.
