Unless people post something quick, I'll use what I got, which is basically altered from an AI suggest. But I'd really prefer something made by real people. I'd also like a real tune.

Backstory: Our hero (who takes the stage name Momo) is an amateur artist who joins a design company. One thing leads to another and somehow the design company becomes involved in designing costumes professionally for films and music, which in turn leads to her becoming a pop idol :er_what_s: when one of the dancers is missing. The next chapter, her band mates basically talk her manager into giving her a freelance contract. Which he agrees to only if she has the confidence enough to sing as lead singer a song that she wrote herself. Which leads of course to something cheesy and terrible.

And so, I kinda made this song Mad Libs style using a fairly manual AI. Aside from me not wanting to use AI, even I can tell that it has no rhythm and is neither singable nor danceable.

It began on a cold winter's twilight:
I was the most clumsy artist around,
She was a brave idol singer.

We used to sail so well together, around the world,
Back then.
We laughed and giggled together,
We wanted it all.

She was my lover,
My tiny lover,
My brave idol singer.

But one twilight, cold winter's twilight,
Together we kissed a girl.
It was hot, so hot.
For a cold winter's twilight,
That is.

(And) she was my lover,
My tiny lover,
My brave idol singer.

And then it happened:
She hit that girl. Alas, that lady!
My lover hit a lady.
On account of me,
and not just because this song needed
some kind of action in it.

From that moment our relationship changed.
She grew so distant.
I grew so lonely
I guess?

(Yet) she was my lover,
My tiny lover,
My brave idol singer.

But still, she is in my thoughts.
I think about how it all changed that twilight,
That cold winter's twilight.
Now we are just friends.

Not that we were really lovers anyway.
It's just a song.

Basically, I want a song that tells about two "lovers" and something goes wrong, but it should be kinda clear that the whole song was made up on the spot for the record company. Very much like "(I'm Not Gonna Write You a) Love Song." Complete with the audience demanding it every time she shows up again for guest appearances, and her having to make excuses why she can't remember it.

They're a rock group, but the more off-color and awkward the tune, the better. Heavy metal, punk, or emo music is not off-limits.

So basically, the words are (mostly) okay, but I need similar words to fit a rhythm. Anyone have experience with this?

So it began in a cold winter,
Intertwined with the idol singer,
I was just a young painter,
Tryin' to get by life like your local sailer,

But then she came to me like a breeze of tailwind,
We laughed, we loved, we were breezing,
Through the sea, the land, the earth and,
There was nothing like us under heaven,

So tell me why did she just leave me sink,
We promised to stay until the Earth sinks,
So why am I alone on this Earth knowing that,
She won't ever return to my side—

—Oh, I'm dead?

I know I just made three shitty poems, but in my defense, I am really sleepy.

Tiny glimpses of moments, colours me blind.
Sweet surrender of memories where were meant to be.

Now we’re not meant to be.

You lift me up to the sky.
Now we’re falling..
Now we’re falling..

I don’t know what it means to fly
But we’re flying.. we’re flying..

Broken streets and broken dreams..
Keep me hoping..
Is this all we’re meant to be.

Give me a moment..

I just don’t like me like this..
So let me have just one final kisssss..

You lift me up to the sky.
Now we’re falling..
Now we’re falling..

I don’t know what it means to fly
But we’re flying.. we’re flying..

You can use this one, if you want.

I did make this one up on the spot, for what it's worth.

How you doin'? How you been? How's the weather?

Doin' fine. Never been any better.

Is what he said because he had to say it.

No one knows that he had to fake it.

One foot outside, as he stares in.

The one winged angel, born out of sin.

Half of a person with half of a name,

Half of a smile gets half of the blame.

There is only the battle and never the win.

Half honored hero, half a has-been.

and as he takes the stage we ask...

How you doin'? How you been? How's the weather?

Doin' fine. Never been any better.

Is what he says because he has to say it

No one knows that he has to fake it

Did she choose to be alone?

Does she have a beating heart of stone?

Half hearted, half remembered,

Half-blooded, head bowed and surrendered.

She lost her love along with her shame

Confessing the truth, will anything change?

And so she asks of all of us...

How you doin'? How you been? How's the weather?

Doin' fine. Never been any better.

Is what we say because we have to say it

Hope no one knows that we have to fake it.

God bless our ministry

Putting the infant in infantry

If we'd been twice half scared to death,

Would there be any of us left?

If we try hard can we make it?

I suppose we will have to fake it.

No one can know.

No one can know.

No one can know.

I used the first two verses of this, fiddled with the rest, and called it a day.
