System or no system

I won't fault you for using a system. But I find that most authors use them are lazy when applying them. And that's a pet peeve of mine.
Plus there's a ceiling for your characters if you stat them. Because at some point you will most likely be abandoned the system when you get deeper into your story.

The only mainstream series I like that has a system in it is "So I'm a Spider, So What?"
I'm sure there's other ones out there that aren't bad either but I can't recall any other ones.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

I would say a resolute no is the answer, especially since you have already started releasing the novel and are only now considering to add a system to it.

As a reader, most novels with system I see, seem to only use a system because it looks fun or interesting (which seems to be the reason you are considering it too), or because it looks easier to write and keep track of everything - clean character sheets with numbered stats and abilities and such. But it more often than not results in poor implementation, power creep, suspension of disbelief or outright deus ex machina.

Litrpg is fine. I like it. Yet a proper litrpg strory is not so easy to find. Is there an audience for litrpg? Of course just see the Rr where it is consumed in mass

So I am writing this thing and i wonder if I schould use system with stats etc. On one hand stas are fun, interesting, easily show power and progress. On other hand I feel like they destroy the immersion a little. What do you guys think?

System would be mostly used as a tool to show the mc is something truly eldritch. So if someone wanted to analyse him he would only get a bunch of cursed writing.

Yes system, but your MC shouldn't be able to use it. It shows that he's something that comes from beyond the reality he exists in.

That doesn't mean the system should be low effort though.

(I noticed you also didn't put a gender tag on your protagonist. That's gonna hurt you long term. Even if your MC isn't a boy or girl, there's a Genderless Protagonist tag.)

I'm getting set to add a system to my story Sonata of Lust, though in my case it'll be a pill the mc take that delivers an ai that gives him access to his vitals,and a secure access to the internet. Though considering I'll be adding magic in a future arc....
