When do you start reading a novel?

    1. Probably because I am also a writer and often read to get inspired. If it's for pure enjoyment... 20+? 100+? I'm not sure. A good synopsis and cover is more important.

Is ScribbleHub better than Webnovel in case of strong readers?

Personal experience tells me SH is where the most interactive reader tends to go. Maybe because it's connected to NovelUpdates. For example, I got spicy comments from day 1 on SH for attracting aggro, and several more readers who commented on most chapters since then. On RR, I only received 2...

Do people think that books written in Pulp Speed are cheap?

I assume cheap = low quality work? Then I don't think you need to worry. Because quantity and quality are not mutually exclusive. Research shows artists who produce a lot of work are often the ones who produce the best work. The more you create, the better you get at your craft. The more you...

    I finished a 70k word fanfic!

Wow! Congratulations! A steady 40 wpm is pretty good. That was amazing, don't mind me calling you shishou from now on. Also, it seems like you've heard of fanfic hate quite a bit. My condolences. Try hanging out with nonfiction writers. Some of them call fictions "garbage that doesn't sell"...

Writing How do you deal with/prevent/manage power creep/rising stakes in story telling?

I was thinking of a more relaxed/comedy moments, but hey, your idea sounds lit. It would be like having Dantalian from Dungeon Defense as your enemy. Power creep? OP MC? What does it matter? They're going down.

Writing How do you deal with/prevent/manage power creep/rising stakes in story telling?

I chose other. I don't think I'm actively trying to deal with it. Weak enemies are fine too from time to time. It doesn't always have to be a tense power struggle.

    Which Tags are red flags?

I tend to stay away from female MC and stories that are too hard to immerse myself in. Fanfic, Boys Love, and transgender, too. Or simply any MC that is hard to relate, really.

Writing Where else can you publicly post your novels?

I know of WebNovel and RoyalRoad, so I also publish my work on those sites. Also Wattpad, although I haven't published on it as FebyA. But where else can we publish our work to gain more readers? Preferably a sites that already have a reader base, and not something like a personal WordPress or...

I just launched a Patreon to help with my writing...

I agree with advance chapters. I also only received my first patron recently after my novel have a bit more advanced ch on Patreon. Which means, it might be a long game. Like planting a tree and only eating the fruits much later. Also, keep publishing on public sites to gain more readers.

OK, who do I bribe or what do I have to do to get my new Fanfic on Trendings?

I found out that, I climbed in rank on my novel's tags as I continue to publish 1 chapter everyday, reply to comments, and generally receive more views/readers/favorites. It's a game of numbers. Increase the statistics and you'll eventually get there.

It is day one, and things are already better!

Glad to see you're doing better since your previous post. Keep up the good work

Have you discovered anything about yourself by writing?

I found out that I might actually be talented in writing. Not necessarily in writing well or in writing something popular, but writing itself seems to be something that fits my personality, circumstances, and skill sets.
