I chose other. I don't think I'm actively trying to deal with it. Weak enemies are fine too from time to time. It doesn't always have to be a tense power struggle.

I tend to stay away from female MC and stories that are too hard to immerse myself in. Fanfic, Boys Love, and transgender, too. Or simply any MC that is hard to relate, really.

I agree with advance chapters. I also only received my first patron recently after my novel have a bit more advanced ch on Patreon. Which means, it might be a long game. Like planting a tree and only eating the fruits much later. Also, keep publishing on public sites to gain more readers.

I found out that, I climbed in rank on my novel's tags as I continue to publish 1 chapter everyday, reply to comments, and generally receive more views/readers/favorites. It's a game of numbers. Increase the statistics and you'll eventually get there.

Yes. Just observe yourself when you are browsing the internet. Take YouTube for example. Are you more likely to click on videos with good thumbnails? Or less likely? Rreaders are human too like you. There are exceptions, but in general, yes. Attractive cover attracts more readers.
