yes and king crimson is indeed a pretty good additionA fellow prog enjoyer!
After all, classical music is the foundation of prog rock music, especially the more technical bands, and it has also been influenced by jazz. But then again, what hasn't been influenced by jazz?
I love Camel, but there are even more substantial bands that come before them. My absolute favorite band is Yes, and "Close To The Edge" is my all-time favorite album. It's a somewhat predictable choice, but it's objectively a timeless masterpiece. Following them are King Crimson and Genesis with Peter Gabriel.
My favorite pieces are "Starless" and "In The Wake Of Poseidon" (King Crimson), "Firth of Fifth" (Genesis), "Heart of The Sunrise" and "Close to the Edge" (YES).
Each of them interprets the genre in their own way, and every music is always a journey.
though instead of songs i'm mainly for albums. to name a few
in the land of grey and pink - caravan
ever - iq
godbluff - van der graaf generator
in a glass house - gentle giant
motion pictures - rush
a sense of change - sieges even
the underfall yard - big big train
red - king crimson
selling england by the - pound (genesis)
fragile - yes (is that a mfing jojo reference?)
ey, i think i made even more explicit ones that i didn't post since i might potentially get banned lolIt wouldn't let me use the words "torture" or "iggas." I think the filter only works in English, judging by your songs in Japanese...
The contrast between the lyrics and the music style really makes me laugh; they are all great experiments nonetheless. This AI performs really well in Japanese.
Maybe I've managed to create something that can be defined as prog? I figured out how to make longer songs, but it cost me quite a few credits.
Since you're an expert, maybe you can tell with your ear if it fits the genre. It's definitely experimental. I used several of your prompts for the instrumental parts, though I'm not sure if it followed them exactly.
I like the experiment, just a shame about a bit of noise.
COSMIC SKIES
Progressive Rock, Prog, Progressive Metal, Synthwave, Synth, Electronic, Organ, Ambient, Experimental,
By extending the songs, I've created a Jungle, Breakcore, Drum and Bass piece that's quite good and serves as the closing theme for the latest chapter I wrote for the Scribble Hub fan fiction. I really like the result.
A SIMPLE FANTASY
Female singer,Jungle, Breakcore, Synthwave, Synth, DnB, Electronic, Drum and Bass, Ambient, Experimental
To conclude, an R&B piece about a festival in honor of a daikon deity, trying to make use of the Japanese bamboo flute. The result is pleasing.
Shūkaku-sai
Shakuhachi, R&B
i won't call myself an expert. i'm also experimenting like everyone else.
my fav is the third one. it's simple but gets the job done, catchy as well.
for the first one there was too much silent space and the prompt actually doesn't work that well, like it refused to do any actual guitar solo or that proggy drumming.
from my experiment, once you add lyrics it might nullify the arrangement you set. though i hadn't been tackling the experimental stuff that much.
for the second song, i hadn't been listening to this kind of music so i can't make much of a comment.
though i was just wondering, how could you create songs that long? are you free or paid member?
