Anyone else watched/read this and care to share your thoughts and expectations for S2?

Laughed at the CGI in the first season, stayed for the enjoyable story. The novel didn't click with me too much at first, but I found myself surprisingly entertained with the anime, enough to make me go back to reading it past where S1 ended. My favorite arc is probably the last one in the anime and the second one (the one with Shea)

Zero expectations as usual. I've read the LN and even have English books up to 7th vol on the shelf for now. It's something I did enjoy the most out of the "big" things I've read before, along with SAO, Log Horizon, Nozomu, etc.

I'm just waiting to hear more voices of my fav chars, that's all. S1 was riddled with countless misfortune, getting scrapped after the author hated it, changing studios, starting from scratch, having to overuse CGI to catch up to deadlines of the new, delayed release of a year later (imagine one year to do anime from scratch), etc. We'll see how it will go for S2. S1 did more than decent plotwise, the non-cgi was nice too, so if they didn't have so many problems this time, S2 could be nice.

As for my favourite act, I don't know how far you've read so I won't spoil it since big things happen in the future, but I will say it involves rabbits, a lot of them.

I spoiled myself for most of the arcs already so I get you.

I’ve read the entirety of arifureta. At least, I think I have, it’s been a while, and my memory is horrible. But anyways, I’m probably not going to watch season two. I haven’t watched any anime in a while, and I don’t like arifureta enough to change that. Some clips might pop into my YouTube recommended though, I’ll at least watch those.

I like how a series that has this level of terrible writing can get so popular.

I should really have started a revenge story, instead of trying for a meaningful NEET reform one.

I truly feel like you calling it terrible is heavily subjective, but it's always like that. It's more than decent, on par with many, but obviously not perfect. It is good with what it aims at at least.

On a somewhat related note, I always found it amusing that the series felt like some edgy KonoSuba/Shield Hero crossover.

You have the revenge story bits and both Hajime and Naofumi having secret OP skills that made them targets of discrimination while building a harem of primarily monstergirls + human companions later. And the "main trio" in the harem has a blue buttmonkey type, a masochist, and a magically inclined girl (the last one is quite the reach, I know)

The similarities end there, I guess, but it still seems fun to think about.

It's basically those Naruto revenge fics I read on 2010.

It's been a while since I read it, but I know it's good enough for seasonal anime. Revenge porn always does well, so there's that, and undeserved suffering always makes for a good one.

My wish came true! Finally! Can't wait to see what they have in store.

Loved S1, the CGI didn't bother me. I was fascinated by the Story.

As for expectations, I want to see more of his Harem. What adventures they take on, finally, what Hajime will do. Stay or leave together with everyone.
