Trivia fact #2: When a horse gives birth to a newborn foal, the foal will have featherlike things around their hooves called eponychium which protects the mother from getting cut from the foal's hooves in the birthing process.

Trivia Fact #3: Otters are born completely blind and cannot see for nearly a month once they're born. Also they can be called kittens which is cute as hell.

Trivia fact #4: Bear cubs are extremely playful and will actively seek out other animals it can play with. Including humans which does not bode well with a mother bear's protective instincts.

Trivia fact #5: Giraffe calves fall on their head when born because the mother births them while standing. They're also 6-feet tall when newborn so a full grown person will be looking a calf straight in the eye. Imagine carrying that around for 15 months(the average giraffe pregnancy can last).

Trivia fact #6: Joey kangaroos are very underdeveloped at birth which is why they reside in their mother's pouches after birth and months prior. Just look up a newborn Joey and you'll see what I mean. They look like those images on an ultrasound.

Trivia Fact #8: If a mother hedgehog thinks the nest where she birthed her hoglets is in danger, then she'll proceed to eat her children then relocate. Don't ask me why they do that. They just do. This is why you shouldn't touch a newborn hoglet until it becomes older or else the mother might eat her baby.
