Is it still "surf & turf" without the "surf"?

"Surf" is associated with the ocean. Is a meal still considered surf 'n turf if the surf component is not from the ocean (ie. lake/river fish)?

As for the food part, fish is fish- however, I have never had much in terms of seafood due to where I live, so I wouldn't be able to tell the difference that much.

On another note, I have had the chance to try different types of river and lake fish, and can say they taste quite different from tuna, and also from each other~

After looking up exactly what Surf & Turf is, seeing that it is usually made with steak and shrimp/lobster, I will definitely say there will be a noticeable difference in the flavor.

River/lake fish will be a little more bland, for lack of a better word, than the sea critters~
