So, this is my first story, and I was wondering if I was skipping too much? I mean, it's a novel about being reincarnated in another place; are timeskips a bother to readers?
Any thoughts fellow authors

Too many time skip is too many hoes missed.

So yeah pretty bad, 1, 2 — maybe 3 — are fine.

My reincarnation story started from birth. Then in 4-5 chapters was a minor skip, then another a few chapters later to reach the teenage age and then around chapter 20-22 the third to reach adulthood.

I had events, building up the MC and her core group while growing up. Every time-skip had an event prior that gave a kind of conclusion to small events. Then I jumped, after I showed how the MC acts while growing up.

hope this helps a little.

Do what works for your story. Timeskips happen in most stories when a character goes to the bathroom or falls asleep.
