O Noble Lions!

Strive with valor ‘cross fields of blood

with courage duty and obligation,

Compelled are the men of the blue and gold

to endeavor forward and to fight and hold!

Over the mounds of fallen friend and foe

across the way the enemy will know,

Common of breed

and of no mind for prudence or heed,

he rises from the dirt and mud and dung

and fights from afar with shaft and bow unslung,

O noble lions!

Met with so much contempt of fight;

thankless are they who know nothing of right,

or the woes of war and battle and of gallantry’s might—

save for honor’s pride!

For Chivalry, we ride!

Good one. Makes one think about a fantasy world, an army during the victory parade, with some official who didn't so much as see the battlefield, reciting this to the half-starved, half-dead soldiers, as the crowd throws flowers at them.
